To connect PSN to Discord, open Discord and go to User Settings > Connections (on mobile, the label may be Connection). Select Add, choose the PlayStation logo, sign in with your PlayStation sign-in ID and password in the authorization window, then approve the connection. You can also start from PlayStation Account Management or from PS5 Control Center > Game Base > Discord > Link Account.
Choose the route that fits your goal

Connect PSN from Discord
- Open Discord on desktop, the web, or your mobile device.
- Open User Settings > Connections. On some mobile versions, the section is labeled Connection.
- Select Add, then choose the PlayStation Network logo.
- In the new authorization window, enter your PlayStation sign-in ID and password.
- Review the permissions and select the confirmation or authorization option. Discord displays a confirmation when the accounts are linked.
Connect from PlayStation Account Management
- Sign in to PlayStation Account Management.
- Open Linked Services.
- Select Discord and follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the connection.
Link Discord directly on a PS5
- Press the PS button to open the Control Center.
- Select Game Base > Discord.
- Choose Link Account and complete the prompts.
Discord is integrated with PlayStation through account linking and supported voice features; Discord states that it is not a standalone app on PlayStation.
What the connection enables
Show your current game
Discord can display the game you are playing on a PS4 or PS5 as game activity when the relevant visibility settings allow it.
Show your PSN identity and status
After linking, Discord lets you choose whether to display your PlayStation Network online ID on your Discord profile and whether to show PlayStation as your status.

Join Discord voice channels from PS5
A linked account is required to join Discord voice channels through PS5 Game Base. On the PS5, open Game Base, select Discord, choose a server or group voice channel, and select Join.
You can also initiate a transfer from the Discord mobile app: open a voice channel, swipe up to reveal the audio controls, and choose Join on PlayStation. Discord requires the PS5 to be running the latest system software for Discord voice chat.

Control what Discord displays
In Discord’s PlayStation connection settings, use the available toggles to show or hide your PSN online ID and PlayStation status. Showing game activity is separate from merely linking the accounts and depends on PlayStation privacy permissions.
Allow activity visibility on PS5
Open Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy > View and Customize Your Privacy Settings. Set Online Status and Now Playing visibility to Anyone if you want Discord game activity or Discord Quest progress to appear.

Allow activity visibility on PS4
Open Settings > Account Management > Privacy Settings > Personal Info | Messages, then review the settings that control online status and current-game visibility.
Troubleshoot missing features or failed linking
PlayStation is missing from Discord Connections
- Use a supported, up-to-date Discord desktop, web, or mobile client and return to User Settings > Connections.
- Check whether the integration is available for the Discord account you are using.
- Remember that menu names can vary by platform, language, and app version; look for the Connections or Connection section and the PlayStation logo.
Game activity or Quest progress does not appear
- Confirm that the PSN account is linked and that Discord’s activity or status display toggle is enabled.
- On the console, set both Online Status and Now Playing visibility to Anyone using the PS5 or PS4 paths above.
PS5 voice transfer does not work
- Install the latest PS5 system software.
- Use Game Base > Discord to select the server or group voice channel and choose Join.
- If the PSN account was linked before Discord’s voice-transfer permissions changed, unlinking and linking it again may be required.
Child account limitations
Discord’s FAQ says child PlayStation Network accounts cannot use the activity-status feature. Linking may therefore succeed while game activity remains unavailable.

Disconnect PSN from Discord
- In Discord, open User Settings > Connections.
- Find the PlayStation connection and select the X beside it.
- Confirm Disconnect.
This removes the PlayStation connection from Discord. You can link the account again later by following the connection steps.
