Cognite Impact 2025 was held in Houston from October 13–16, 2025, with Cognite framing the event around agentic AI and measurable business value in industrial companies. Before the conference, Cognite promised a practical roadmap for energy, manufacturing and life-sciences organizations. Afterward, the company reported a sold-out, three-day gathering, 39 breakout sessions, new product capabilities and a goal of realizing $100 billion in customer value by 2035. Those attendance, product and value figures are Cognite’s own reports, not independent audits.
What Cognite Impact 2025 was
Impact is Cognite’s user-focused conference for industrial data, AI and partner technologies. The official event listing placed the 2025 edition at the Westin Galleria in Houston, Texas, on October 13–16. Cognite’s later announcement called it a three-day gathering, so the published date span should not be read as four full program days.
The announced audience covered energy, manufacturing and life sciences. Cognite said the objective was to help industrial organizations move agentic-AI ideas from vision to implementation and demonstrate tangible business value.
What Cognite previewed before the event
Agentic AI tied to industrial data
In its August 14, 2025 preview, Cognite positioned agentic AI as the central theme. The company described Cognite Atlas AI as a no-code workbench for building industrial AI agents, integrated with the data foundation of Cognite Data Fusion. These are Cognite’s product descriptions; they do not independently establish ease of use, deployment speed or business results.

Customer and partner perspectives
The preview listed customer speakers from ExxonMobil, Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, Idemitsu Kosan, NOVA Chemicals, Aker BP, Cosmo Energy Holdings, Nippon Shokubai and HMH. Microsoft, SLB and Radix were identified as platinum sponsors. Cognite said speakers would discuss implementation strategies and ways to connect industrial AI projects to business outcomes.
What Cognite reported after Impact 2025
Cognite’s October 16 announcement said attendance had more than doubled from the prior year and that the conference was sold out. It did not state an exact 2025 attendee count in that announcement. A separate October 23 recap reported 39 breakout sessions and described customer keynotes and examples involving digitalization, autonomous operations and industrial data foundations.

Product roadmap
| Area | What Cognite announced or described | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Industrial interface | A redesigned, AI-enabled interface for industrial workflows | A roadmap and product announcement, not independent evidence of workflow improvements |
| Agent applications | A partner experience for building scalable low-code/no-code agentic applications | Relevant to organizations that want partners to develop and scale specialized applications |
| Predictive insights | LLM-based time-series anomaly detection | Requires validation against a company’s own data, alert quality and operating processes |
| Ecosystem | Strategic partnerships with NVIDIA, Databricks and Snowflake | Signals technology and ecosystem relationships; it does not by itself prove an integrated production outcome |
Customer examples in the recap
Cognite’s recap described Aker BP’s digitalization journey toward autonomous offshore operations. It also said TotalEnergies planned to build a robust data layer across 39 upstream assets over three years. The latter is a described plan, not a completed rollout or independently measured result.
The numbers—and their qualifications
- 39 breakout sessions: reported by Cognite in its October 23, 2025 recap.
- More than twice the prior-year growth: Cognite’s relative attendance statement; no exact 2025 attendee total is supplied in the cited passage.
- $100 billion by 2035: Cognite’s stated goal to realize that amount in customer value, announced October 16, 2025. It is a target, not value already achieved.
- 39 upstream assets over three years: the scope and timeline Cognite attributed to TotalEnergies’ plan.
- 306 attendees, 64 external speakers and 41 sessions across two days: figures shown for Impact 2024 on the 2025 event page. They are prior-year figures, not 2025 results.
What the roadmap means for industrial companies
Data context remains the prerequisite
Agentic systems can only act reliably when operational data is connected to the context that gives it meaning: assets, locations, work orders, process conditions and business rules. The announced Atlas AI and Data Fusion direction therefore puts the data foundation ahead of the agent itself. Companies should ask which sources are connected, how context is maintained and how permissions are enforced.

Start with bounded workflows
The interface and partner-built applications are most credible when tied to a specific workflow—such as maintenance investigation, production troubleshooting or operator support—with a defined user, decision and success measure. A demonstration of a general-purpose agent is not proof that it can safely execute a plant or offshore workflow.
Validate anomaly detection locally
LLM-based time-series anomaly detection should be tested against historical incidents and normal operating changes in each environment. Buyers need precision and recall measures that matter to their teams, alert explanations, handling of missing data and a process for approving or dismissing recommendations.

- Length: 16.4 feet ( 5 meters), flat cable type. Custom lengths and special features available
- Ultra-wide Monitoring Range: The digital temperature probes & sensors measures extreme temps from -40°F to 248°F with lab-accurate ±0.6°F precision
- Anti-slip Design: Stays securely in place for uninterrupted monitoring. It'll work well through vibrations, handling, and harsh work environments
- High Quality: The premium stainless steel probe is waterproof & rust-proof for reliable performance in farming, cold chain, refrigerator, labs, drying box, constant box and industrial use, etc.
Govern deployment and accountability
Before scaling low-code or no-code agents, establish model ownership, access controls, audit logs, change management and a clear distinction between recommendations and automated actions. Partner flexibility is valuable only when the resulting applications can be governed consistently.
How to evaluate Cognite’s claims
- Map the data foundation: identify the systems, assets and operational context the platform can use, and document gaps.
- Select one measurable workflow: define baseline cycle time, downtime, quality, safety or maintenance metrics before deployment.
- Run a controlled pilot: compare agent or anomaly outputs with current expert practice and record false positives, misses and time saved.
- Test scaling economics: include integration, partner development, training, monitoring and ongoing data-curation costs.
- Set governance gates: require human approval for consequential actions until reliability and safety evidence justify greater automation.
What is established—and what is not
The official materials establish the event dates, announced themes, named speakers and sponsors, Cognite’s product statements, the 39-session recap, the partnerships and the $100 billion target. They do not independently verify customer value, product performance, adoption, attendee satisfaction or progress toward the 2035 goal. Niels Andersen of LNS Research called the atmosphere energetic and described the customer presentations as evidence of real projects and learning; that is his opinion as reproduced in Cognite’s recap, and his statement about faster, more precise insights is forward-looking.
