Plugable’s PS-10CC is a powered charging station with 10 USB-C ports and up to 100W of total output shared among connected devices. It is designed for households, offices and classrooms that need to charge phones, tablets, laptops and other USB-C equipment from one station—not to provide data connections or battery backup. Each port has a fixed left-to-right priority, so the charging behavior differs from a hub that distributes power independently to every port.
What is the Plugable PS-10CC?
Plugable announced the PS-10CC on January 7, 2025, after previewing it at Pepcom 2025 in Las Vegas. The company describes it as a 10-port USB-C charger with “intelligent power allocation” and priority-based charging. Plugable founder and CTO Bernie Thompson called it “the world’s first 10-port USB-C charger with intelligent power allocation”; that is Plugable’s statement, not an independently verified industry finding. Read the announcement and the current product listing for the manufacturer’s specifications.
The PS-10CC is a charging station only. It is not a computer data hub, and it is not a power bank: it has no internal battery and stops charging when external input power is removed.
How PS-10CC priority charging works
Left-to-right port order
Ports are prioritized from left to right. A device connected farther left is served first. As that device becomes substantially charged and its charging current falls, the station can make more of the available power available to the next port in line.
#1 Best Overall
- Turn One Charger Into 10: Named Best Charger at CES 2025 by Tom’s Guide and winner of the Tech & Learning Best of Show Award at ISTELive 26, the Plugable PS-10CC is the first Type C USB charging station to utilize PriorityShare(TM) technology to charge up to 10 USB-C devices in priority order, reusing an existing laptop USB-C power supply you already have. Plug everything in at night, have 10 substantially charged devices by morning.
- Intelligent Charging: Plugable’s PriorityShare(TM) technology distributes power across all connected devices, in the order from left to right. As devices become substantially charged, power is reallocated down the line. Charge time depends on number and type of devices connected and the charger used with the PS-10CC
- Use the Charger You Already Have: Pair with the highest wattage USB-C Power Delivery charger you own (100W recommended) for efficient multi-device charging. Designed to work with your existing charger and cables and built from 50% recycled aluminum and 75% recycled plastic, it minimizes extra waste, clutter, and unnecessary accessories
- Universal Compatibility: A charging station for multiple devices, the PS-10CC works with nearly everything that supports USB-C charging from laptops to earbuds. And with extensive testing, built-in safety features, and third-party certification, you can rest easy knowing your devices are safe. Additionally features user-updatable firmware for enhanced compatibility with new USB-C devices
- Lifetime Support: This USB-C charging station has been designed with reliability at its core and was built to charge the whole house, classroom, office, breakroom — basically everywhere. Includes lifetime support from our North American team of connectivity experts
What the LEDs do—and do not—measure
The station monitors charging current rather than reading a device’s battery percentage directly. Plugable says LED status changes can take several minutes. A device that is already full may continue to show as pending until its power draw drops enough for the charger to advance; the LEDs therefore should not be treated as an exact battery gauge.
Power is shared, not duplicated
The PS-10CC provides up to 100W total across all ports, not 100W to each port at the same time. The connected devices, their charging requirements and the input adapter determine how that shared capacity is allocated. The station also reserves some power for its own operation.

The PS-10CC uses the power supply you already have, so an adapter is required but not implied to be included. Check your existing USB-C PD supply before buying another one. A supply rated above 100W does not turn the station into a 140W charger: Plugable says its 140W adapter combination still provides 100W to the PriorityShare charger, with the extra 40W unavailable to it. See Plugable’s product page and announcement for current details.
Can it charge ten laptops at once?
It can connect to ten USB-C devices, but “charge ten laptops at once” should not be read as ten simultaneous 100W charging sessions. Ten laptops must share at most 100W, and laptop power demands can consume most of that capacity. Phones, tablets, battery banks and smartwatches are among the device types Plugable lists as compatible, while charging time varies with the devices, the number connected and the power supply used.

Legacy non-PD devices use 5V charging and can reduce overall efficiency and delay lower-priority ports. Plugable also gives the example that an active laptop may draw up to half of the power supply’s capacity, leaving less for other devices.
Best way to use the station
- Use a suitable input adapter. Plug in an external USB-C PD supply within Plugable’s stated 18W–100W guidance; 100W or higher is recommended for broad compatibility.
- Place the most important device on the left. The leftmost port has the highest priority, so use it for the device that must receive power first.
- Let devices sleep or shut down. Plugable recommends offline or overnight charging. Sleeping, suspending or powering off devices reduces ongoing draw and lets the station reallocate power more effectively.
- Allow time for status changes. LEDs may take several minutes to update because the station responds to charging-current changes, not a direct battery-percentage reading.
- Reconnect with priorities in mind. After input power is disconnected and restored, charging restarts from the leftmost, highest-priority port.
What the PS-10CC is—and is not
- It is: a centralized 10-port USB-C charging station for mixed personal, office or classroom devices.
- It is not: a data hub, a battery bank or a charger with ten independent 100W outputs.
- It requires: a separate USB-C PD power adapter; verify your existing adapter’s rating first.
- Its allocation model: fixed left-to-right priority, with power reallocated as earlier devices draw less.

The Bottom Line
The Plugable PS-10CC makes sense when one station needs to manage many USB-C devices and those devices can charge mostly idle. Its key constraint is the 100W total shared ceiling: priority charging helps sequence that power, but it does not create ten independent high-wattage outputs. Budget for a separate USB-C PD adapter and place the devices you value most on the left.
