The 23.8-inch and 27-inch models target competitive players who want very high refresh rates without moving to a higher-resolution panel.
What AOC announced
AOC introduced the 24G4ZR and 27G4ZR as entry-level competitive gaming displays in an announcement dated 10 February 2026 (the web page was published 25 March 2026 and updated 15 July 2026). Both use 1920×1080 Fast IPS panels. Their native refresh rate is 240Hz; 260Hz is an overclocked mode enabled from the monitor’s on-screen menu or AOC G-Menu.
AOC Gaming Product Manager César Acosta described the move as making high speed “the new starting point” for competitive players. The company also says 0.3ms MPRT and up to 1ms GtG response times are available. Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent laboratory results.

What “260Hz” means in practice
These monitors do not have a native 260Hz panel mode. They run at 240Hz by default, with AOC’s 260Hz overclock available as an optional setting. Overclocking can depend on the display, graphics output and system configuration, so confirm that the selected mode is active in your operating system and game after enabling it.
Rank #2
- 25” FULL HD IPS DISPLAY: Enjoy crisp visuals and vibrant color on a 25-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS panel with wide 178° viewing angles.
- 260HZ REFRESH RATE & 0.5MS MPRT: Experience ultra-smooth motion and minimal blur with a high 260Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time.
- ADAPTIVE-SYNC TECHNOLOGY: Eliminate screen tearing and stutter by synchronizing your GPU and monitor for seamless gameplay.
- GAMER-CENTRIC FEATURES: Includes AOC’s Shadow Control, Game Mode presets, graphical OSD, and quick visual tuning for peak performance.
- TILT-ADJUSTABLE + VESA MOUNTABLE: Tilt range from –3° to +21° and VESA 100×100 mm compatibility allow for flexible mounting and ergonomic setups.
The jump from 240Hz to 260Hz reduces the theoretical frame interval from about 4.17ms to 3.85ms. That is a small timing difference, not evidence by itself of a measurable competitive advantage. AOC’s materials do not provide an independent comparison of input latency, motion clarity or image quality against a 240Hz monitor.
Sync and motion features
The announcement lists Adaptive-Sync, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and MBR Sync. AOC describes MBR Sync as combining Adaptive-Sync with backlight strobing and gives it a 48–260Hz operating range. These are vendor descriptions; the release does not establish that every feature or setting can operate simultaneously beyond the specific MBR Sync description.
Rank #3

- ADAPTIVE-SYNC TECHNOLOGY: Enjoy tear-free, stutter-free gameplay with Adaptive-Sync support that keeps visuals fluid and synchronized with your GPU.
- ILT-ADJUSTABLE & VESA COMPATIBLE: Customize your setup with tilt functionality (-3° ~ 21°) and 100x100mm VESA mount support for ergonomic flexibility.

Stand and physical adjustment
The announced G4ZR versions include a fully adjustable stand:
- 130mm height adjustment
- Tilt from -3° to 21°
- Swivel of ±28°
- Pivot of ±90°
AOC said tilt-only versions named 24G4ZRE and 27G4ZRE would follow. That statement reflects the announcement’s publication/update point and is not a guarantee of current availability.

Regional 260Hz models
AOC uses different model numbers and screen sizes in different markets. Check the local product page before assuming a model, port selection or stock status is available in your country.
| Market and model | Screen and panel | Refresh information | Other listed details |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States — 27G50Z | 27 inches, 1920×1080 Fast IPS | 240Hz native; 260Hz overclocked | 1ms GtG, 0.3ms MPRT, Adaptive Sync, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, audio output |
| Canada — 25G50Z | 24.5 inches, 1920×1080 Fast IPS | 260Hz overclocked | 1ms GtG and Adaptive Sync listed |
| Singapore — 24G50Z | 23.8 inches, Full HD Fast IPS | 260Hz listed; AOC identifies the mode as overclocked from 240Hz on related materials | 1ms GtG, 0.3ms MPRT and Adaptive Sync listed |
The G4ZR names and the G50Z names are not interchangeable: they represent market-specific product lines. AOC’s US gaming-monitor catalogue places 260Hz (overclocked, 240Hz native) among several refresh-rate categories, so 260Hz is one tier in a broad range rather than AOC’s universal maximum.

Which size makes sense?
Choose 23.8 or 24.5 inches for pixel density
At 1920×1080, the 23.8-inch 24G4ZR and 24.5-inch 25G50Z produce a sharper pixel density than a 27-inch Full HD screen at the same desk distance. They suit players who sit relatively close or prefer a compact field of view.
Choose 27 inches for a larger image
The 27G4ZR or US 27G50Z gives a physically larger picture while retaining Full HD and the same high-refresh focus. Whether that is preferable depends on viewing distance and personal comfort; the available information does not establish one size as objectively better.
What to check before buying
- Open your country’s AOC page and confirm the exact SKU, screen size and availability.
- Verify that your graphics card and cable can drive 1920×1080 at the desired refresh rate through the monitor’s listed inputs.
- After connecting the monitor, select 240Hz first, then enable the 260Hz overclock in the on-screen menu or G-Menu.
- Confirm the operating system and game report the selected refresh rate; test Adaptive-Sync or MBR Sync settings separately if required.
- Compare the stand adjustment and port list with your desk and peripherals, rather than judging the monitor by the 260Hz label alone.
Bottom line
AOC is bringing a 260Hz option into its more affordable gaming range, but the headline needs precision: the 24G4ZR, 27G4ZR and related regional G50Z models are 240Hz-native monitors with an optional 260Hz overclock. They may appeal to esports-focused buyers who already have hardware capable of very high frame rates, while shoppers prioritising resolution or independently verified motion performance should treat AOC’s figures as specifications pending testing.
