ExpressVPN is not confirmed as a standard app on every HP consumer PC. HP’s current specifications list “ExpressVPN (30-day free trial)” as included software for the HP 14-ep0000 family, with the warning “Not available in all countries/regions.” Check the exact model and country listing before you buy.
Is ExpressVPN pre-installed on HP consumer PCs?
Only some configurations are documented as including it. HP’s product specifications for the HP 14-ep0000 family name ExpressVPN as bundled software and specify a 30-day free trial. That is evidence for the listed HP 14 configurations, not for the entire HP consumer range.
“Included software” is HP’s wording; it does not establish that every unit in every market has the application enabled in the same way at first boot. The live specification for your exact product number is the deciding reference.
Which HP laptops are covered?
HP 14-ep0000 family
The directly documented bundle is the HP 14-ep0000 series. HP’s current product-specification page lists “ExpressVPN (30-day free trial)” and says it is “Not available in all countries/regions.” HP’s Uruguay/Spanish specification page repeats the same bundle language, showing why country selection matters.

Other HP consumer PCs
HP’s January 5, 2026 consumer-PC newsroom announcement describes newer software experiences, including HP Omni+ and HP TV+, but does not announce ExpressVPN as a portfolio-wide pre-install. You should not assume that an HP Pavilion, ENVY, OmniBook, desktop, or another HP 14 configuration includes the VPN unless its own specification says so.
What the 30-day trial means
The bundled entitlement is a 30-day free trial, not a lifetime VPN subscription. During activation, ExpressVPN can display the terms for continuing after the trial, including any subscription or renewal details that apply to your account. The HP specifications reviewed here do not publish renewal pricing, so check the activation screen rather than relying on a quoted price elsewhere.

- For everyday computing in home or office settings, this HP laptop is identified as a standard laptop computer for a familiar notebook format.
- The packaged unit weighs 6 pounds and measures 21 by 14 by 3 inches, providing clear handling information when planning a workspace or storage area.
Regional availability can prevent the offer from appearing even when the laptop family name is similar. A country-specific HP page and the product number on the retailer’s listing should match your intended purchase.

How to check whether your HP includes the trial
- Find the full product number. In Windows, open Settings > System > About, or read the label on the box or underside of the laptop.
- Open HP’s specification page for that exact number. Look under the software or included-software section for the phrase “ExpressVPN (30-day free trial).”
- Check the country or region selector. HP states that the offer is not available in all countries/regions.
- After setup, search Windows for ExpressVPN. If it is listed, open it and review the activation screen before accepting trial or renewal terms.
- If it is absent, do not treat that as an error. The specification may describe a different configuration, market, or software image.
Can you uninstall it or use another VPN?
Uninstall the bundled app
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps in Windows 11 (or Settings > Apps > Apps & features in Windows 10).
- Search for ExpressVPN, select the three-dot menu, and choose Uninstall.
- Restart if Windows requests it, then confirm that no ExpressVPN connection or browser extension remains in use.
Removing the application does not cancel a subscription that you separately activated. Handle any account or renewal cancellation through the terms shown by ExpressVPN.

Choose another VPN
You can install a different Windows VPN instead of activating the bundle. Remove or disable ExpressVPN first so two VPN clients do not compete to manage the connection. Compare providers on the features you actually need—such as a kill switch, split tunneling, supported Windows version, and the provider’s own privacy terms—rather than assuming the HP bundle is the fastest or most secure option.
HP bundle versus other ways to get ExpressVPN
| Option | Bundle status | Geography | Trial terms | Platform | Hardware information |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP 14-ep0000 configuration named by HP | Included software according to HP’s current specifications | Not available in all countries/regions, according to HP | 30-day free trial | ExpressVPN documents Windows 10 and 11 support | Exact processor, memory, storage, display, and price depend on the product number and listing |
| Another HP consumer-PC configuration | Not established by the January 5, 2026 HP consumer-PC announcement; check its own specification | Must be verified on the local HP page | Not stated unless that configuration lists it | Windows support is available through ExpressVPN’s app documentation | Verify the exact configuration |
| Install ExpressVPN yourself | Separately downloaded Windows application | Availability and terms are presented by ExpressVPN for your location | Not the HP-bundled entitlement | Windows 10 and 11 are documented | Works with a compatible Windows PC; no particular HP model is required |
What to verify before buying an HP 14
- Match the complete HP product number, not just “HP 14.”
- Read the software section for the country-specific HP page.
- Confirm that the listing says 30-day trial if that offer is important to you.
- Review the activation screen for post-trial billing or renewal terms.
- Evaluate the laptop itself—processor, memory, storage, display, and current price—separately from the VPN offer.
- Remember that the physical product is an HP 14 laptop; ExpressVPN availability is a configuration- and region-dependent software benefit.
Bottom line
HP documents ExpressVPN as a 30-day trial on selected HP 14-ep0000 configurations, not as a universal pre-install across all HP consumer PCs. Verify the exact model and region, inspect the activation terms, and choose whether to keep, remove, or replace the app after Windows setup.
