Microsoft marked the Windows Insider Program’s 11th anniversary in October 2025 with two new wallpapers, according to reporting published by Neowin on October 22, 2025. This is an anniversary of the Insider program—not of Windows 11 itself.
The artwork is still listed in Microsoft Design’s wallpaper gallery, which currently includes an item titled “Windows Insider Program 11-year Anniversary.”
Where to find the anniversary wallpaper
Open Microsoft Design’s Wallpapers gallery and look for Windows Insider Program 11-year Anniversary. The gallery listing was checked on September 27, 2026, so it confirms that the artwork remains cataloged there. Microsoft’s original announcement page is not currently available: the indexed page returned a 404 when accessed.
Neowin’s October 22, 2025 report said the release contained two wallpapers and directed readers to the Windows Insider website for downloads. Because that announcement page could not be retrieved, the date and two-wallpaper count should be treated as details from the secondary report rather than independently verified from Microsoft’s announcement.

The gallery text does not state the files’ dimensions, formats, color profiles, licensing terms, or device compatibility. Those details should be checked against the individual asset download before using the images in a production or commercial setting.
How this relates to Windows Insider
Windows Insider is Microsoft’s preview program for people who want access to upcoming Windows 11 features and updates. Microsoft’s current Windows Insider landing page also points visitors toward ways to connect with the Insider team and community. The wallpapers are a commemorative design release, not a new Windows build or an enrollment requirement.

- October 22, 2025: Neowin reported that Microsoft was celebrating 11 years of the Windows Insider Program with two wallpapers.
- September 27, 2026: Microsoft Design’s wallpaper gallery still displayed the “Windows Insider Program 11-year Anniversary” listing.
Important availability qualification
The current gallery listing shows that Microsoft Design still references the anniversary artwork, but it does not prove that the original Windows Insider download page remains live or that every associated file can still be downloaded. Check the gallery and the linked asset at the time you publish or download it. The indexed Microsoft announcement, “Celebrating 11 years together,” returned a 404 when opened.
