AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.10.3 is a historical Windows driver released on October 28, 2022. AMD identifies it as driver 22.20.29.04 (Windows Driver Store version 31.0.12029.4013). Its main additions are support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Radeon Boost with Variable Rate Shading in Dying Light 2. AMD also lists three fixes and five remaining known issues. Because this package is from 2022, check AMD’s current driver listing and your system manufacturer’s support page before installing it today.
What is new in AMD Adrenalin 22.10.3?
AMD’s release notes name two game-related additions:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II: the release adds driver support for the game.
- Dying Light 2: Radeon Boost using Variable Rate Shading is supported.
AMD does not publish a frame-rate increase or other measured performance figure for either item, so these are compatibility and feature claims rather than quantified benchmarks.
What issues does AMD 22.10.3 fix?
AMD reports these fixes in the 22.10.3 notes:
- Elite Dangerous: a launch crash on Radeon RX 6000-series GPUs.
- Windows 11 version 22H2: a black screen that could occur during a driver upgrade or after resetting settings on Radeon RX 6000-series GPUs.
- Gotham Knights: lower-than-expected performance when using AMD processors with some AMD graphics products; AMD gives the Radeon RX 6950 XT as an example.
These are AMD’s stated fixes. They do not guarantee that every configuration or separate instance of the same symptom is resolved.

- Dual ball fan bearings last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs
What known issues remain?
| Issue | Affected examples | AMD’s stated status |
|---|---|---|
| World of Warships prediction lines may be missing | Radeon RX 6000 GPUs | Resolution targeted for 22.11.1 |
| A beep may sound when pressing Shift + Back with Radeon Anti-Lag enabled | Not limited to a specific model in the notes | Resolution targeted for 22.11.1 |
| Performance metrics may remain at 100% GPU utilization after a game closes | Some products, including Radeon 570 | No workaround stated in these notes |
| Hardware-accelerated Firefox video playback may stutter | Some products, including Radeon RX 6900 XT | No workaround stated in these notes |
| Brief display corruption when switching between video and game windows | Some products, including Radeon RX 6700 XT | No workaround stated in these notes |
The 22.11.1 target applies only to the first two issues. AMD does not provide a workaround for the other three in this release documentation.
Does Adrenalin 22.10.3 support my Radeon GPU?
AMD lists support for Windows 11 version 21H2 and later, and Windows 10 64-bit version 1809 and later. AMD also warns that operating-system support can vary by Radeon product, so the exact model entry matters.
