Get Disney+ from the official Android store
On a phone or tablet with Google Play, open the Disney+ listing on Google Play, confirm Disney is the publisher, and tap Install or Update. Then open the app and sign in with an active Disney+ account. Installing the app does not provide a subscription or free access to paid content.
Disney says its Android phone and tablet app supports Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later. That is a minimum OS baseline, not a guarantee that every device can install the app or play video. Is Disney+ v1.11.3+ the latest version?
The exact label “v1.11.3+” is not supported as the current version by the indexed release listings reviewed here. Standard Android listings use 26.x numbering. APKMirror lists version 26.12.1+rc1-2026.07.15, package com.disney.disneyplus, with an upload date of July 19, 2026. The listing also identifies an earlier 26.11.1+rc4-2026.07.03 build. These are archive listing details, not a promise that the same build is newest for every device, country, or release channel. Check the specific 26.12.1 release page and the Disney+ release archive for listing changes.

The “+rc” portion is a release-candidate-style label used in the listing; it does not mean premium, unlocked, or modified. A page calling v1.11.3+ “latest” may be stale or may refer to a different Disney+ app variant. Version numbers alone do not identify the right file for a phone, television, or Fire tablet.

For this release’s precise file and signature metadata, use its release listing. Do not reuse a hash or signing detail from a different build.
“All languages” does not mean every title has every track
Language claims can describe three different things: the app interface, a film or series’ audio and subtitles, and the catalog available in a territory. They are not interchangeable.

App interface
One standard Android build listing reports 25 interface languages: Arabic, German, English, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Chinese. Audio, subtitles, and catalog
The interface language does not guarantee that a specific title has matching audio or subtitles. Tracks vary by title and territory. A language option also does not unlock the same catalog worldwide: service availability and licensing, account and billing region, and local rights determine what viewers can watch.

Choose the route for your device

Install a sideloaded APK only when you have a reason
Google Play is usually safer and simpler: it selects a compatible version, integrates with certification and licensing, and handles updates. A reputable APK archive can help when the store is unavailable or a historical build is needed, but you must select the correct variant and handle updates yourself. APKMirror lists different releases and variants, including Fire tablet builds; its archive is not Disney’s official distribution channel.
Check the device and file
- Identify whether the device is a phone, tablet, Android TV/Google TV device, Fire tablet, or generic box. Check its Android version, free storage, and whether Google Play Services are present.
- Try the official Google Play listing first. If it installs and updates normally, there is generally no reason to sideload.
- If sideloading is necessary, use a reputable archive listing for the Disney-published package. Verify the package is
com.disney.disneyplus, and check the version, release date, minimum Android version, and architecture against your device. - Avoid builds described as “mod,” “premium unlocked,” “no ads,” or “free subscription.” They are not legitimate ways to obtain Disney+ access and can put account credentials and the device at risk.
Understand APK files and bundles
A single .apk is usually one installable package. An .apkm or split bundle contains a base package plus device-specific configuration files, such as architecture, language, or screen-density splits. The current indexed standard listing is a bundle with 37 splits, so installing only its base APK may fail. For that exact listing, APKMirror says a compatible bundle installer, such as APKMirror Installer or APKMirror, is required.

- Download the complete bundle from the release page, not an isolated split.
- Use a compatible bundle installer obtained from a reputable source. Grant Android’s “install unknown apps” permission only to the installer or browser when prompted.
- Install the bundle, then revoke that source’s permission in Android settings if you do not need it for other installs.
- Open Disney+, sign in normally, and test playback, audio and subtitles, casting, and downloads where supported. Return to Play Store updates where appropriate.
APKMirror states that its listed Disney+ bundles are signed by Disney. That is information about the listed package, not a guarantee about every mirror, installer, redirect, or file claiming to be Disney+.

- Publisher and package: The official Google Play listing names Disney; the standard package identified in the current archive listing is
com.disney.disneyplus. - Signing identity: An update should ordinarily match the trusted signing identity of the installed app. A signature conflict is a reason to stop, not to try random builds.
- Hash: If the source publishes a SHA-256 value, compare the downloaded file with the value for that exact version. The release page lists file and certificate details; values from another version do not verify this one.
- File and permissions: Avoid executable installers, unrelated ZIP contents, and modified builds. Unexpected requests for accessibility, SMS, contacts, device-admin, or overlay access are warning signs for a streaming app.
- Download source: Avoid pages that force multiple redirects or promise a free subscription. Never enter Disney credentials into a download page.
Fix common installation and playback problems
“App not installed”
- Check for a wrong architecture or platform variant, insufficient storage, an incomplete bundle, or Android below the minimum.
- A conflicting signature can occur when the installed app and downloaded file were not signed by the same trusted identity. Do not replace a working installation with an unverified build.
- Delete an incomplete download and obtain the full bundle again. Clear temporary installer data if needed.
- Do not uninstall a working app until you have confirmed account access; uninstalling can remove offline downloads. Avoid installing an older build over a newer one.
“App isn’t compatible with your device”
- Check the Android version, CPU architecture, and whether you selected a phone, TV, or Fire-compatible variant.
- Use the Play Store where possible and consult Disney’s supported-device guidance.
- Do not assume that forcing installation will make protected playback work, particularly on an uncertified projector or box.
The app opens but video will not play
- Restart the device and app, check the date and time, and test the network. Temporarily disable a VPN or proxy to rule out a connection or region issue.
- Update from Google Play where possible and clear the app cache. Check certification and DRM support if the device is a generic box or projector.
- Try a supported, certified device. Contact Disney+ support if the account and region are correct but playback still fails.
Disney+ keeps asking for an update
- The installed build may be below the service’s supported version, may be for another platform or region, or may not be recognized as a production release.
- Return to the official Play Store version or install the correct platform-specific build. Do not use a patched APK to bypass the update prompt.
What the update changes
The indexed release archive gives generic notes such as bug fixes and general improvements rather than a detailed public changelog. Check the release archive for version listings, but do not infer a new feature from a version number alone. Service-side changes can also occur independently of the installed APK.
