There is no single valid “ASUS cooler” rating. ASUS sells several AIO families—ROG Ryujin, ROG Ryuo, ROG Strix LC, TUF Gaming LC, ProArt LC and Prime LC—with different radiators, pumps, fans, displays, software and prices. Identify the exact model before comparing scores; a Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme rating cannot be transferred to a TUF Gaming LC II 240 or a ProArt LC 420.
For a quick buying direction, the Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme is ASUS’s most feature-heavy performance candidate, the Ryuo IV 360 ARGB targets display-focused showcase builds, TUF and Prime models are more practical value choices, and the ProArt LC 420 suits only cases designed for very large radiators.
Which ASUS cooler is being rated?
ASUS’s US catalog lists multiple generations and sizes rather than one product. The current range is summarized on the ASUS all-in-one liquid-cooling overview and the US CPU-liquid-cooler catalog.

Best performance-focused candidate: Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme
Its hardware and published specifications make it the logical ASUS candidate for high-power gaming or workstation CPUs. ASUS-hosted material reports 61°C with a 125-W power cap in a specific test; that result depends on the processor, ambient temperature, mounting, case and workload and must not be treated as a general CPU temperature. See the ASUS award/test page.
Rank #4
- Pre-installed integrated fans streamline installation and deliver high airflow and static pressure
- Exclusive TUF Gaming software for real-time hardware status info and dynamic customization
- Styled to complement TUF Gaming motherboards at the center stage of your build
- Reinforced, sleeved 400mm tubing for enhanced durability and chassis compatibility
- Support for Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200, and AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets
The Extreme premium is difficult to justify if you do not need its display, embedded fan and highest-spec fan hardware. The standard Ryujin III 360 is the more rational choice when those extras have no value.
Best display-focused candidate: Ryuo IV 360 ARGB
The curved AMOLED panel and movable display are the purchase reason. They improve customization rather than automatically lowering CPU temperature, and they add cables, software dependence and additional electronics.
Best practical direction: TUF Gaming LC II or Prime LC
Choose between them by verified independent testing, local price and case fit. Their simpler designs avoid paying for an LCD that may not affect cooling.

Best large-workstation candidate: ProArt LC 420
The 420-mm radiator and three 140-mm fans are attractive for sustained workloads in a spacious, quiet case. ASUS lists radiator dimensions of approximately 456 × 140 × 30 mm in its detailed specification material. Many cases cannot mount this size, so compatibility comes before performance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How much independent evidence exists?
Independent results must retain their full test context. A third-party review of the ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB used an Intel Core i5-14600K and a demanding benchmark; consult the complete methodology before comparing its temperatures or noise with another outlet’s result (Digital Citizen review).
One CPU’s package temperature cannot rank every processor. Power limits, motherboard behavior, ambient temperature, thermal paste, mounting pressure, fan curve and case airflow can change the outcome substantially.
Compatibility checklist before buying
- Confirm the socket support for your exact CPU and motherboard revision.
- Check that the case supports the radiator length and thickness, including fans. A 420-mm radiator is substantially less common than a 360-mm unit.
- For a top mount, measure clearance above the motherboard heatsinks and memory modules.
- For a front mount, verify that the radiator and fans do not conflict with the graphics card.
- Check tube orientation, pump-block clearance and RAM height.
- Count required USB, SATA, fan, pump and ARGB headers; LCD and RGB functions may require Armoury Crate or related utilities.
- Plan airflow so the radiator placement does not starve the graphics card or exhaust hot air into the case.
Noise, software and reliability trade-offs
Published dB(A) values are controlled specifications, not a promise that a complete PC will sound quiet. Maximum fan speed, pump tone and case resonance can dominate perceived noise. Report fan and pump measurements separately when an independent test provides them.

LCD and AMOLED coolers add monitoring and customization but also increase cost, cabling and software dependence. A six-year warranty appears for many listed models in ASUS’s regional specification table, but confirm the exact model and country terms on the product page; a warranty is a positive signal, not proof that every unit will last six years (ASUS regional specifications).
When an ASUS AIO is not the best choice
- Budget build: a quality tower air cooler may deliver adequate temperatures without a pump, radiator or liquid loop.
- Small case: a 240-mm AIO or compact air cooler may fit where a 360-mm radiator cannot.
- Reliability-first system: air cooling removes pump and liquid-loop failure modes.
- High-value liquid cooling: a simpler non-LCD AIO can preserve radiator capacity while reducing feature cost.
