Use a 400 × 400 pixel logo for a LinkedIn Page. LinkedIn lists 268 × 268 pixels as the minimum for a Page logo (the official help label is “Logo image”). Save it as a PNG or JPEG no larger than 3 MB. LinkedIn recommends a high-resolution JPEG for the best resolution, and you should check that the artwork remains readable on both light and dark backgrounds.
The correct LinkedIn Page profile picture size
For an organization’s LinkedIn Page, prepare a square logo at 400 × 400 pixels. This is LinkedIn’s recommended working size and gives you room for clear edges and small details after the image is displayed at different sizes. The minimum accepted dimensions are 268 × 268 pixels. These figures apply to the Page logo, not to the cover image or an individual member’s profile photo.
| Requirement | LinkedIn Page logo specification |
|---|---|
| Recommended dimensions | 400 × 400 pixels |
| Minimum dimensions | 268 × 268 pixels |
| Aspect ratio | Square (1:1) |
| Accepted file types | PNG or JPEG |
| Maximum file size | 3 MB |
| LinkedIn’s quality advice | A high-resolution JPEG is recommended for best resolution |
These specifications come from LinkedIn’s image specifications for LinkedIn Pages and Career Pages. A larger source file can be useful while designing, but export the final upload as a compliant PNG or JPEG under 3 MB.
Page logo versus personal profile photo
“LinkedIn profile picture size” is ambiguous because LinkedIn uses similar language for two different images:

- Wrinkle-Free & Non-Reflective – Vinyl-backed professional fabric prevents shadows, glare, and fabric clutter for polished results.
- Wall or Ceiling Mounting Options – Includes universal brackets for easy installation in offices, studios, or home workspaces.
- LinkedIn Page logo: 400 × 400 pixels recommended, 268 × 268 pixels minimum, PNG or JPEG, maximum 3 MB.
- Personal member profile photo: LinkedIn’s separate guidance specifies a 400 × 400 pixel minimum, dimensions up to 7680 × 4320 pixels, and an 8 MB limit.
If you are changing the image for a company, nonprofit, school, product, or Showcase Page, use the Page-logo rules. Do not use the personal-photo 8 MB allowance as a reason to upload an oversized Page file; the Page limit is 3 MB. LinkedIn’s personal-photo requirements are documented separately in Photo won’t upload to your profile.
How to prepare a logo that stays readable
Start with a square canvas
Create a 400 × 400 pixel canvas and keep the important mark inside a safe area away from the edges. A square canvas prevents accidental stretching and leaves enough margin if LinkedIn displays the logo smaller in feeds, search results, or Page headers.
Choose the file format deliberately
- JPEG: LinkedIn recommends a high-resolution JPEG for best resolution. Use a high-quality export and inspect fine text for compression artifacts.
- PNG: Useful when your artwork needs crisp edges or transparency. LinkedIn says transparent logos are shown on white, so a mark designed only for a dark background may lose contrast.
Whichever format you select, confirm that the final file is no larger than 3 MB. If it is too large, export again at a sensible quality level or remove unnecessary metadata rather than shrinking below 268 × 268 pixels.
Test both display conditions
LinkedIn states that the logo appears on light and dark backgrounds. View the exported file against both before uploading. Check the smallest distinctive features, thin strokes, and any lettering. A transparent logo receives a white background in LinkedIn’s display, so verify that white or pale parts do not disappear.

- Small Size for Studio and Portrait Photography: GEWONELIFE 10ft x 10ft black spandex backdrop (2 panels of 5ft x 10ft) for small studios, home photography, and compact shooting setups. The stretch fabric creates a smooth, wrinkle-free surface for portrait photography, headshots, and product shoots where clean contrast and professional results are required
- Professional Background for Corporate and Headshots: Designed for LinkedIn photos, business portraits, and corporate profiles. The black backdrop creates a clean, serious, and professional tone that enhances trust and authority for office photography, company branding, and formal identity shots that require a polished visual presentation
- Content Creation and Video Shooting Background: Suitable for TikTok, YouTube, and livestream setups. The black background reduces distractions and keeps focus on the subject for talking-head videos, tutorials, and product reviews. Creates a cinematic and immersive look for modern digital content creators
- Stretchable, Wrinkle-Free and Easy Setup Design: Made from premium spandex material, this backdrop is highly elastic, durable, and wrinkle-resistant. It fits tightly on frames for a smooth professional look. Lightweight, reusable, and easy to install for home studios, photographers, and small business owners
- Premium Polyester Fabric Construction: Crafted from lightweight polyester fabric with soft texture and excellent wrinkle resistance for long-lasting durability. Machine washable and reusable for repeated use in professional decorating and DIY party setups
Keep the identity simple
At 400 pixels, a long company name, slogan, and several small symbols can become difficult to recognize when reduced. Prefer the primary mark or a short monogram. This is a design decision rather than an additional LinkedIn rule, but it makes the required image more useful in compact placements.
How to change a LinkedIn Page or Showcase Page logo
You need to be a Page super admin to change the logo. LinkedIn’s current admin route is described in Change the logo image for your LinkedIn Page or Showcase Page.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and open the Page’s admin view.
- Select Edit Page.
- Open Page info.
- Choose the current logo and select the replacement 400 × 400 pixel PNG or JPEG.
- Save the change, then open the public Page to inspect the result.
LinkedIn treats the action as a replacement: an uploaded logo can be replaced, but it cannot be left empty. If the new artwork is not ready, do not remove the existing logo in an attempt to create a blank state.
Pre-upload checklist
- Canvas is exactly 400 × 400 pixels, or at least 268 × 268 pixels if you cannot produce the recommended size.
- File is PNG or JPEG.
- File is 3 MB or smaller.
- Important artwork has padding and is not touching the edge.
- Logo is legible on a light background and a dark background.
- Transparent artwork still works on the white background LinkedIn uses.
- You have Page super-admin access.
- You have checked the saved result on the public Page, not only in the upload dialog.
What to check after publishing
Confirm the dimensions and file
Open the exported file in your image editor or operating system’s file information panel and verify its pixel dimensions, format, and file size. A file can look square while containing a non-square canvas, and a high-resolution source can exceed the 3 MB limit after export.

- White & Black 2-in-1 Photography Backdrop:Features both white and black shooting surfaces to suit different photography needs. The white side creates a bright, clean background, while the black side provides a professional non-reflective backdrop. Please note: when wall-mounted, only the white side can be used. Both sides are available when ceiling-mounted
- Compact Storage & Important Size Notice:The backdrop rolls neatly into its housing when not in use for convenient storage. The white backdrop measures approximately 30.7 x 51 in, the black backdrop measures approximately 32.6 x 52.7 in, and the fully extended overall size is approximately 36 x 56 in. Due to manual measurement, a size variation of 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2 in) is normal and does not affect functionality
- Retractable Auto-Lock Design:Pull down the backdrop to any desired height and it locks securely in place. To retract, pull down slightly to release the lock and guide the screen upward by hand. Always control the retraction manually and avoid sudden release to ensure smooth operation and extend product life
- Wrinkle-Resistant PVC Surface:Made from premium PVC material with a smooth, durable, wrinkle-resistant surface. Creates a clean and professional background for product photography, portraits, headshots, passport photos, live streaming, video recording, online meetings, and content creation
- Flexible Wall & Ceiling Mount Installation:Designed for home studios, offices, classrooms, and content creation spaces. The durable metal housing and secure mounting system support both wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted installation while helping save valuable floor space
Inspect light and dark surroundings
Look at the logo wherever LinkedIn places it around both pale and dark interface areas. Pay attention to transparent edges and white artwork. If contrast is weak, revise the artwork and replace the logo rather than relying on a browser zoom level.
Check at reduced size
Reduce the image on screen to approximately the size at which a visitor will encounter it. If a wordmark becomes unreadable, use a simpler mark or increase the visual weight of the main symbol. The 400 × 400 upload is a source specification; it does not mean every viewer sees the logo at 400 pixels.
Check the correct Page
Organizations may have a main Page and one or more Showcase Pages. Confirm the Page name in the admin view before saving, then verify the public URL afterward. A correctly formatted file uploaded to the wrong Page is still the wrong result.
Troubleshooting common upload problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Upload is rejected for size | The image is below 268 × 268 pixels, or the file exceeds 3 MB. | Export a 400 × 400 pixel PNG or JPEG and reduce export quality or metadata until it is under 3 MB. |
| File type is not accepted | The file is in a format other than PNG or JPEG, such as SVG, WebP, or an editor project file. | Export a copy as PNG or JPEG before uploading. |
| Logo looks blurry | The source was enlarged from a small bitmap or saved with excessive JPEG compression. | Return to the largest clean source, create a 400 × 400 export, and use a high-quality JPEG or a crisp PNG. |
| White parts disappear | Transparent artwork is displayed on white, or the mark has insufficient contrast. | Add a suitable background or revise the mark so it remains visible on white and dark surroundings. |
| Logo is cropped or feels cramped | The artwork reaches the canvas edge or contains a very wide wordmark. | Place the mark inside a square safe area with padding and simplify the composition if necessary. |
| No option to edit the logo | The account is not viewing the Page as a super admin, or the wrong Page is open. | Switch to the correct admin view and confirm your Page role; then use Edit Page > Page info. |
| Old logo still appears | A cached Page view or feed preview has not refreshed. | Open the public Page in a fresh browser session and allow the replacement to finish processing before judging older previews. |
| There is no way to save an empty logo | LinkedIn requires an uploaded logo to be replaced rather than removed. | Upload the intended replacement; do not try to leave the logo field blank. |
Do not use cover-image dimensions for the logo
LinkedIn documents several other Page and Career Page image modules, including cover images, Career Page Life images, custom Life modules, and company photos. Those assets have their own specifications and are not interchangeable with the 400 × 400 Page logo. If a design brief gives you dimensions for a banner or a Life module, keep that file separate from the square logo upload. The logo guidance itself is the 400 × 400 recommendation and 268 × 268 minimum documented by LinkedIn.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need a rendered screenshot of a public LinkedIn Page after changing its logo, ScreenshotNeo can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF from one GET request. This is separate from uploading the logo: it helps you capture the page as it appears for documentation or a visual check.
