Use Vivaldi’s built-in Capture tool: open the page, choose Full Page, and save the result as a PNG or JPEG, copy it to the clipboard, or attach it to a Vivaldi Note. On Android, use Vivaldi menu > Capture Page and select the full-page option. Desktop captures have a documented maximum height of 30,000 pixels; Android’s help page warns that page-length restrictions may apply without specifying a number.
Capture an entire page on Vivaldi desktop
Vivaldi’s desktop Capture tool can render the complete length of the current website instead of only the visible viewport. The official desktop help describes Full Page as a screenshot of the full website length, up to 30,000 pixels high (Vivaldi Browser Help: Capture a screenshot in Vivaldi).
Fastest method: the Status Bar camera
- Open the webpage you want to save.
- Find the camera icon on Vivaldi’s Status Bar.
- Open the Capture control and choose Full Page.
- Wait for Vivaldi to render the page and present the capture actions.
- Choose whether to save an image, copy it, or create a Note.
If the Status Bar is hidden or the camera icon is not convenient, use one of the other access paths below.
Use Quick Commands
- Press F2 on Windows or Linux, or ⌘ E on macOS, to open Quick Commands.
- Type Capture.
- Move through the available capture commands and select the Full Page action.
- Press Enter and then choose the desired output.
Vivaldi’s command names and available actions are listed by the browser, so select the command that explicitly indicates a full-page capture rather than a selection capture.

#1 Best Overall
- CRISP CLARITY: This 23.8″ Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail
- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
Use a custom keyboard shortcut
- Open Settings.
- Search Settings for Capture.
- Locate the full-page capture action.
- Assign an unused key combination and save the setting.
- Return to the page and press that shortcut whenever you need a full-page image.
This is useful for repeated documentation or testing work where opening the menu each time would slow you down.
Create the capture from Notes
Vivaldi also exposes capture actions through its Notes workflow. Start a capture from the Notes panel or Notes command, choose Full Page, and Vivaldi attaches the resulting image to a new or existing note. Notes can retain the capture together with page context; the documented Notes workflow is described in Vivaldi’s Creating Notes help.
Choose what happens to the screenshot
| Output | Best for | What Vivaldi provides |
|---|---|---|
| Save image | A file for upload, archiving, issue reports, or editing | Choose PNG or JPEG and save it to the configured capture folder. |
| Copy to clipboard | Pasting immediately into chat, a document, or an image editor | The capture is placed on the system clipboard instead of being saved first. |
| Save as a Note | Keeping the image with browser research or page-specific notes | The capture is attached to a Vivaldi Note; you can add a title and note text. |
PNG is generally the safer choice when you need lossless text and interface details. JPEG can produce a smaller file for photographic pages, but compression can soften small type. Vivaldi’s documented choices are PNG and JPEG for desktop image output.
Configure the capture folder and file names
To avoid hunting for screenshots after every capture, open Settings > Webpages > Image Capture. There you can configure the folder where captures are stored and the automatic filename template. Set a project-specific folder and a naming pattern before starting a documentation batch.

Changing these settings affects saved image files. Clipboard captures and images attached to Notes follow their respective workflows rather than becoming ordinary files in the capture folder.
Desktop limits and page behavior
The 30,000-pixel height ceiling
Vivaldi documents a maximum Full Page capture height of 30,000 pixels. A very long article, feed, dashboard, or log can therefore exceed what the built-in desktop tool can produce as one image. If the page is longer than that, capture the content in sections with Selection capture, or use a paginated/PDF workflow when an image is not essential.
Full Page versus Selection
Full Page captures the website’s entire rendered length. Selection lets you draw or resize a region before capturing it. Selection is the practical fallback for a page that exceeds the full-page limit or when you need only one component, such as a chart or article body.
Check the page before capturing
- Scroll or reload if the page has not finished rendering.
- Close transient menus that you do not want included.
- Confirm that you are on the intended URL and account state.
- For extremely long pages, decide in advance whether one image, several selections, or a Note is easiest to review.
Vivaldi’s help pages document the capture controls and limits, but interface labels can change as the browser is updated. If a command is missing, search Settings and Quick Commands for “Capture” rather than relying on an old shortcut.

Capture a full page on Vivaldi for Android
- Open the webpage in Vivaldi for Android.
- Tap the Vivaldi menu.
- Tap Capture Page.
- Select the option for the full web page.
- Save or share the resulting image using Android’s available actions.
Vivaldi warns that Android captures may be subject to page-length restrictions, but its Android help page does not state a numeric maximum (Vivaldi Browser Help: Capture a screenshot). That means a particularly long page may need to be divided or captured with the phone’s alternate long-screenshot tool.
Use Android’s adjustable Long screenshot
- Open the Vivaldi menu and tap Share.
- Choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the top and bottom bounds to include the portion you need.
- Tap the capture button.
- Edit, save, share, or delete the result.
This workflow is separate from Vivaldi’s full web-page capture. It is useful when you need manual control over the exact start and end points rather than the browser’s page-length result.
Where Android saves captures
Vivaldi says Android captures are saved in the device’s Pictures directory, inside a folder named Vivaldi Captures. Android file managers and gallery apps may present that folder differently depending on the device manufacturer.
Desktop and Android workflows compared
| Question | Desktop Vivaldi | Android Vivaldi |

| Full-page command | Full Page | Full web page option |
| Documented size limit | Maximum height of 30,000 pixels | No numeric limit stated; page-length restrictions may apply |
| Alternative selection method | Selection capture with a resizable region | Adjustable Long screenshot from Share |

Troubleshooting full-page captures
The camera icon is missing
Use Quick Commands (F2 on Windows/Linux or ⌘ E on macOS) and search for Capture. If you want a permanent shortcut, assign one under Settings after searching for Capture. The Status Bar itself may be hidden or customized, so the icon’s absence does not mean the feature is unavailable.

Only the visible area was captured
Reopen Capture and select Full Page, not Selection. Selection intentionally captures only the region you draw. On Android, choose the full web page option under Capture Page rather than starting the adjustable Long screenshot.
The result stops before the bottom
On desktop, check whether the page exceeds the 30,000-pixel maximum. If it does, capture several selections. On Android, the official documentation gives no numeric ceiling, so try the alternate Long screenshot and set the lower boundary manually.
I cannot find the saved file
Review Settings > Webpages > Image Capture and verify the configured folder and filename template. On Android, look in Pictures/Vivaldi Captures. A clipboard capture or Note attachment will not appear as a normal file in that folder.
The page changed while I was capturing
Reload the page, wait for its content to settle, and start the capture again. For repeatable records, capture at the same URL and account state, and use a saved filename pattern so you can identify retries.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Vivaldi preserve when I save a capture as a Note?
The Notes workflow attaches the screenshot to a Vivaldi Note, and the saved capture carries its capture date and page URL. You can then add a title and your own note text.
