On a computer: open Firefox’s menu, choose Print, set Destination to Save to PDF, adjust the preview, and select Print to save the file. On Android, use Menu > Share > Save as PDF > Download, or use the Android print dialog. On iPhone or iPad, use Firefox’s Save as PDF menu action when available; otherwise, create a full-page screenshot and choose Save as PDF.

The labels can move as Firefox updates. If your menu does not exactly match these names, look for Print, Share, or Save as PDF rather than installing a separate converter.
Save a website as a PDF in Firefox on desktop
Firefox’s desktop print preview creates the PDF from the page preview you configure. The method works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Open the webpage you want to keep.
- Open the Firefox application menu (the three-line button) and select Print….
- In the print preview, open Destination and select Save to PDF.
- Set the options you need: orientation, page range, color mode, paper size, scale, margins, headers and footers, and whether to print background graphics.
- Review every page in the preview. Then select Print (the button is still labeled Print even though the destination is a PDF).
- Choose a folder and filename when Firefox or your operating system presents the save dialog, then confirm.
The PDF reflects the preview, not necessarily the live page exactly as it appears while browsing. Websites can use a print-specific layout, hide navigation, or omit elements that are visible on screen. Mozilla Support cautions: “Web pages can set themselves up to appear different on paper to how they look on screen, so don’t be surprised to see some changes.”

Use Simplified formatting when the page is cluttered
Some Firefox print previews offer a Simplified format. It removes page clutter such as navigation and other nonessential elements, which can make an article easier to read. In Simplified format, Firefox does not let you print page backgrounds at the same time. If the page’s design, diagrams, or colored sections matter, switch back to the standard format and enable background printing instead.
Save a website as a PDF in Firefox for Android
Direct Share route
For the shortest Android workflow, use Firefox’s built-in PDF action:
- Open the webpage in Firefox for Android.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the toolbar.
- Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the menu.
- Choose Save as PDF.
- When the save prompt appears, tap Download.
- Open the result from the Downloads folder or Firefox’s Downloads list.

Android Print Spooler route
Firefox for Android also has an in-browser print function. Mozilla says this function arrived in Firefox for Android version 118.

- Scroll to and tap Print.
- Wait for Android Print Spooler to open. Large pages can take a moment to render; the interface indicates when it is still loading.
- Open the printer or destination selector and choose Save as PDF.
- Adjust copies, color, duplex, paper size, orientation, or page selection if those controls are shown.
- Tap the save button and select a folder or filename.
This route is useful when you need page-range or paper-layout controls that are not exposed by the direct Share action.
Save a website as a PDF in Firefox for iPhone or iPad
Try the current website menu first
Mozilla’s newer Firefox for iOS menu includes a Save as PDF website action. Mozilla says the redesigned menu began general rollout with Firefox for iOS version 142. Open the webpage, open Firefox’s website menu, and look for Save as PDF. Follow the save sheet to place the document in Files or another destination.

Full-page screenshot fallback
If your iOS version does not show the menu action, Mozilla’s dedicated instructions use the iPhone screenshot tools:
- Open the webpage in Firefox.
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, press the side button and volume-up button together. On an iPhone with Touch ID, press the side button and Home button together.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail that appears.
- Choose Full Page at the top of the editor.
- Tap Done, then choose Save as PDF.
- Select Files or another available destination and complete the save.
The full-page option captures the scrollable page rather than only the portion visible when you pressed the buttons. Very long pages may produce a large document, so allow time for iOS to render and save it.
Fix layout problems before you save
- Wrong orientation: use portrait for most articles and landscape for wide tables or dashboards.
- Missing sections: set the page range to all pages, or select the specific range that contains the content.
- Text is too small: increase the scale or reduce margins. Check that increasing scale has not pushed important columns onto extra pages.
- Colors or background images are absent: enable background printing in the standard desktop preview. This option is unavailable together with Simplified format.
- Headers, footers, or URLs are unwanted: turn those fields off in the desktop preview when the controls are available.
- Ads and navigation dominate the document: try Simplified format, Reader View on Android, or the page’s own print view if it provides one.
Always inspect the preview before saving. Responsive sites may rearrange columns, collapse menus, or substitute a print stylesheet, so the PDF can legitimately differ from the browser view.

Troubleshooting by symptom
There is no “Save to PDF” destination on desktop
Make sure you opened Firefox’s Print… command rather than the operating system’s generic print shortcut. The destination selector appears inside Firefox’s print preview. If the preview is using a system dialog instead, look for a PDF option in that dialog, such as Save as PDF or Print to PDF.
Android shows Print but not Share > Save as PDF
Use the Android Print Spooler route and choose Save as PDF as the printer. If Print is also missing, update Firefox and Android, then reopen the page; menu availability depends on the installed app and device build.
The Android preview appears stuck
Large or image-heavy pages can take longer to render. Wait for the loading indicator to finish. If it never completes, reload the page, try Reader View where available, or print a smaller page range.

The iPhone PDF contains only the visible screen
In the screenshot editor, select Full Page before choosing Save as PDF. The default screenshot option captures only the current viewport.
Images, fonts, or interactive content are different
A PDF is a static print representation. Videos, forms, animations, hover states, and other interactive behavior will not remain interactive. Wait for images and other page content to finish loading, then verify the print preview; a site’s print stylesheet may intentionally omit some elements.
The saved file is difficult to find
On Android, check Downloads and Firefox’s Downloads list. On desktop, use the folder and filename shown in the save dialog. On iOS, check the Files location you selected in the share or save sheet.
