NASA’s live coverage of the SpaceX Crew-12 return is scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m. EDT on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Watch through NASA+’s Crew-12 re-entry and splashdown event, or use one of the other platforms listed by NASA. NASA’s current advisory identifies the returning crew as Jessica Meir, Jack Hathaway, Sophie Adenot, and Andrey Fedyaev; it does not describe them as stranded.

NASA lists these platforms for its live return coverage. NASA+ is the direct official viewing option; NASA’s NASA Live schedule lists the other platforms and displays event times in U.S. Eastern time.

What time are deorbit and splashdown?
NASA’s Oct. 8 schedule estimates the deorbit burn for 10:46 a.m. EDT and splashdown at approximately 11:34 a.m. EDT. Coverage is scheduled to start at 10:20 a.m. EDT, ahead of both milestones.

The wording matters: NASA’s current Crew-12 advisory describes a scheduled return, not a stranded-astronaut rescue. The live event is the return of this specific mission; it should not be conflated with earlier reports about other astronauts.
