Which date and silence time applied?
United Kingdom
The Cenotaph’s national service was held on Remembrance Sunday, 9 November 2025, rather than on 11 November. The government schedule set the two-minute silence for 11am and said the service concluded at 11:25am. The separate announcement estimated that about 10,000 veterans would take part in the March Past and about 10,000 members of the public would line Whitehall; those were estimates, not final attendance figures.
Canada
The Ottawa ceremony schedule placed its two-minute silence at 11am. The Legion’s page gave the start as approximately 10:30am but did not identify a time zone, so that displayed time should not be converted or treated as a universal local-time listing.
Australia
Australia’s national service was scheduled for 11 November at 10:45am AEDT. The Department of Veterans’ Affairs says Australians observe one minute of silence at 11am on Remembrance Day, marking the anniversary of the 1918 Armistice. This is distinct from the two-minute silence listed for the UK and Ottawa ceremonies.
