In the United States, the confirmed no-subscription way to watch Super Bowl LXI is to tune in to a local ABC station over the air. You may need an antenna, and reception depends on where you live. A free online stream for the 2027 game has not been confirmed: Disney+ has announced it will carry the broadcast, but Disney+ requires a subscription.
What to know about Super Bowl LXI
Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The NFL’s announced broadcast rotation assigns the 2026 game to ESPN/ABC, making local ABC broadcast television the supported no-subscription option in the United States. The league says its games will continue to be available on free over-the-air television. NFL broadcast-rights information and the NFL Super Bowl page provide the underlying schedule and event information.
Ways to watch without a subscription
| Option | Free? | How it works | Availability and limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local ABC over the air | Yes; no TV subscription is required | Receive your local ABC station with a TV’s built-in antenna or a separate antenna | United States; you must be within range of a local ABC signal |
| Free internet stream | Not confirmed for Super Bowl LXI | No verified free online option is established in the available announcements | Could change if a broadcaster announces an option closer to the game |
| Disney+ | No | Disney has announced a stream of the ESPN/ABC broadcast | Disney+ is a subscription service; the announcement covers the United States and 55 international markets |
How to watch ABC over the air
- Check whether a local ABC station broadcasts in your area. Reception varies with location, terrain, buildings, and antenna placement.
- If your TV does not already have suitable reception equipment, connect an antenna and scan for channels using the TV’s channel setup menu. Menu labels vary by television.
- On game day, select the local ABC channel. Confirm the station’s schedule nearer kickoff, since local programming details can change.
An antenna can help receive local broadcast television, but buying one does not guarantee a usable ABC signal. The NFL’s broadcast-rights announcement describes continued over-the-air availability of league games.
Does “without cable” mean a free online stream?
No. Watching ABC with an antenna avoids a cable or live-TV subscription, but it is still a broadcast-TV signal rather than an internet stream. Disney has announced that Disney+ will stream the ESPN/ABC broadcast in the United States and 55 international markets; that does not make it free. No free internet stream for Super Bowl LXI has been confirmed in the announcements cited here. Disney’s streaming announcement.

What if you are outside the United States?
Broadcast and streaming rights vary by country, so the U.S. ABC option should not be assumed to apply elsewhere. For the 2026 NFL season, the league’s Ireland guide identifies Virgin Media Television as including the Super Bowl in its free-to-air coverage. That is a country-specific example, not a complete list of free broadcasters worldwide. Check the NFL’s international viewing guide for information relevant to your country.
Does Tubi stream the Super Bowl for free?
Tubi streamed Super Bowl LIX in 2025 for free, but those rights applied to that event. They do not confirm that Tubi will stream Super Bowl LXI in 2027. Fox’s announcement about the 2025 Tubi stream.

Distribution details can change. Before the game, confirm local ABC reception and check official broadcaster announcements for any newly announced free online stream. Until such an option is confirmed, local ABC over the air is the supported no-subscription route in the United States.
