When is the Pixel 10a coming out?
Google announced the Pixel 10a on February 18, 2026. Preorders opened that day, while shipments and general availability were scheduled to start March 5, according to Google’s announcement and Bloomberg’s launch report.
That distinction explains why reports gave different dates: February 18 was the announcement and preorder date; March 5 was the stated start of availability.
Was the mid-February release-date rumor correct?
It was directionally right, but the leaked dates were not the final schedule. On January 13, Android Authority reported Roland Quandt’s claim that the phone would be in retail “around mid Feb.” The same day, Droid-Life cited retailer information pointing to February 17, while cautioning that it was pre-launch tracking evidence.

A January 19 follow-up from Android Authority projected a February 18 announcement and March 5 open sales. Google’s February 18 announcement confirmed the announcement date and March 5 availability timing.

Google’s official announcement listed a U.S. starting price of $499 and four colors: Fog, Obsidian, Berry, and Lavender. Google product manager Laura Kastilani described it as a phone that “packs core Pixel experiences into a sleek, durable design for just $499.”
