Google Antigravity can do more than help write software: its current documentation describes agents that can search the web, interact with Chrome, read and write files, use connected tools, and work asynchronously while you review their plans and artifacts. Those capabilities make it useful to explore for research and other knowledge tasks—but they do not establish that any particular author has personally used these workflows. Here are four practical ways to try Antigravity beyond coding, with a human check built into each one.

What Antigravity is—and what “beyond coding” means

Google describes Antigravity 2.0 as a standalone desktop application for managing AI agents on complex knowledge and coding tasks. Its documented capabilities include web searches, Chrome interaction, file read/write operations, system commands, connected tools through skills and MCP servers, subagents, and generated artifacts such as plans. See the Google Antigravity 2.0 overview.

That breadth supports non-coding workflows, but it is not proof that the agent will complete every task accurately. Treat the agent as a delegated worker: define the scope, inspect its work, and make consequential decisions yourself.

1. Use an agent to organize a bounded research task

For a question that requires gathering information from the web, ask an agent to search for evidence and return a source-organized summary or plan. Keep the question narrow enough that you can check the key claims—for example, “Compare the return policies on these three retailers’ official pages and list the relevant terms with links.” Antigravity’s current documentation lists web searches and the creation of artifacts and implementation plans as agent capabilities.

A prompt structure to try

  1. State the question and limit the scope, such as naming the sites, products, or date range to cover.
  2. Ask for a concise summary organized by source, with links beside the claims each source supports.
  3. Request a separate list of uncertainties, conflicting statements, and information the agent could not verify.
  4. Open the cited pages yourself and confirm important details before relying on the summary.

A neat summary is not a substitute for checking whether its sources are authoritative, current, and actually support the claims. Do not rely on an agent’s conclusion alone for medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions.

2. Delegate browser work you can inspect

Antigravity’s current documentation lists Chrome interaction. Google’s November 2025 launch announcement also described browser control and browser recordings as part of the original product, alongside artifacts people could inspect. That points to a practical category of work: navigating browser pages, gathering information, or completing a clearly scoped sequence of actions.

For a low-risk task, you might ask an agent to visit specified pages and collect a short list of facts. Say which sites it may use, what it should return, and whether it should stop before submitting forms or changing anything. Review the pages and any available artifacts or recordings rather than assuming that a completed-looking task is correct.

  • Keep the scope explicit: identify approved sites and the exact information to collect.
  • Set action boundaries: tell the agent whether it may click, sign in, submit, purchase, or change settings; for sensitive or irreversible actions, require your review first.
  • Verify the result: check the relevant page and confirm that the reported information matches what is displayed.

Browser access can expose the agent to account data and real-world actions. Give it only the permissions and task scope needed for the job.

3. Transform a defined set of files or use connected tools

Current documentation lists file reading and writing, system commands, and connections to external tools through skills and MCP servers. That makes file- and tool-based knowledge work another possibility: for example, asking an agent to sort a specified folder of notes into topic groups or to assemble information from an approved connected tool.

Make file tasks reversible

  1. Identify the exact folder or files the agent may use, and avoid granting access to unrelated material.
  2. Ask it to explain its proposed changes and, where practical, create a copy or draft output rather than overwriting originals.
  3. Review the output and compare it with the source files before adopting or sharing it.

Connected tools and file permissions determine what an agent can access or change. Configure them deliberately, and do not treat a successful operation as evidence that the resulting organization or transformation is complete.

4. Hand off longer knowledge work asynchronously

Antigravity’s current overview describes launching, monitoring, and orchestrating agents. Google’s developer examples also describe delegating a multi-tool task and sending longer-running work to an agent asynchronously. That model can suit a task that has a clear deliverable but does not need your attention at every step.

Assign one bounded task, specify what a usable result looks like, and ask the agent to provide its plan and supporting artifacts. Check the plan before the work proceeds where possible; then inspect the deliverable and give targeted feedback. If several agents are available, divide work into distinct, reviewable pieces rather than assigning overlapping tasks without a way to reconcile their results.

Google’s November 2025 launch explanation emphasized task-level artifacts such as task lists, implementation plans, walkthroughs, screenshots, and browser recordings as ways to inspect agent work. These are review aids, not independent proof of correctness. Google’s developer examples are vendor examples, not independent performance benchmarks.

Choose a workflow by its risks and evidence

Workflow Where the work happens Useful completion evidence Human check
Web research Web searches Source-organized summary or plan Check source quality, links, and whether the evidence supports each claim.
Browser task Chrome Relevant pages and, where available, browser recordings or screenshots Confirm the result in the browser and review any sensitive action before it occurs.
File or connected-tool task Files, system commands, or connected tools Changed or generated files and a description of the work Check permissions, compare outputs with inputs, and preserve originals where appropriate.
Asynchronous delegation One or more agents working on a scoped task Plan, task artifacts, and final deliverable Review the plan and result; resolve conflicting or incomplete work yourself.

These are different ways to apply documented capabilities, not a ranking of which is most effective. Google’s official pages do not establish independent success rates for these workflows.

What the official product information does—and does not—establish

The current documentation supports trying Antigravity for research, browser, file, connected-tool, and asynchronous agent tasks in addition to coding. Google’s launch announcement, dated November 18, 2025, described the original release as a public preview at no charge, with macOS, Linux, and Windows support at launch. Those are launch-era details, not confirmation of current pricing, availability, or platform support; check the current product pages for present terms.

The launch announcement also said, “Antigravity is our first product that brings four key tenets of collaborative development together: trust, autonomy, feedback, and self-improvement.” That is Google Antigravity Team’s characterization of its product, not independent evidence that agent results are reliable.
