There is no single update period for every iQOO phone. Published commitments differ by model, and the India examples below show why it is important to distinguish major Android/OS upgrades from security updates. Check the official information for your exact model and region before relying on a support term.
What update support do iQOO phones get?
iQOO’s published terms are model-specific, not a brand-wide guarantee. These official India examples list different support periods:

These are vendor-stated commitments for the named India models, not a complete policy for every iQOO device worldwide. For the iQOO 12, the announcement describes the number of OS generations and calendar-year endpoints; do not assume a start date or calculate an individual phone’s final update date unless iQOO specifies how its term is counted.
What is the difference between Android upgrades and security updates?
OS or Android upgrades
An OS-upgrade commitment describes major software-version upgrades. A figure such as “2 years” or “4 generations” refers to that upgrade category; it does not tell you how frequently updates arrive.

Security updates
Security support is a separate commitment. It may continue on a different schedule from major OS upgrades, so a phone can reach the end of its promised OS upgrades while still receiving security updates. The listed terms do not establish a universal patch frequency or delivery date.

How to check the policy for your iQOO phone
- Open iQOO India’s System Update Support page and use its model selector to find your device.
- Confirm the exact model and regional variant, then consult the matching official product or support page. Similar model names sold in different markets may not share the same stated policy; iQOO’s global product comparison page is another official reference.
- Read OS-upgrade and security-update terms separately, preserving qualifiers such as “up to.” Do not infer when the period starts or ends unless the applicable official terms say so.
What the published terms do not guarantee
- A single update duration for all iQOO models or markets.
- A fixed update frequency or delivery schedule for a particular phone.
- That a policy published for an India model applies to a similarly named device sold elsewhere.
