Use iPhone’s built-in Home Screen styling for system-wide changes, or add a Shortcuts launcher with a photo as its icon for a bespoke image.
What you can and cannot customize
Apple documents two ways to change the appearance of an iPhone Home Screen icon: system-wide styling for app icons, and a photo used as the icon for a Home Screen shortcut. The second option changes the shortcut launcher’s appearance, not Apple Music’s underlying app icon or branding. Apple’s cited guides do not document an Apple Music-specific control for changing its in-app branding, Settings icon, or App Library icon.
These are software-based options; no physical product is needed.
Change the appearance of Home Screen app icons
For a color or style change, use the iPhone’s built-in customization controls. Apple’s iOS 26 Home Screen guide documents options for icon size and appearance, including light or dark styling, Clear, and a color tint with adjustments.

- Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons jiggle.
- Tap Edit, then Customize.
- Choose the icon size or appearance you want. Options include Dark or Auto, Clear, and Tinted; tint settings let you adjust the color and saturation.
This changes the appearance of app icons through system-wide styling; the documented instructions do not provide a separate custom-image logo for Apple Music. Labels may vary by iOS version.
Use a photo for a Home Screen shortcut
If you want a specific image rather than a system-wide tint or style, create or edit a shortcut and add it to the Home Screen. Apple’s Shortcuts guide to modifying shortcut colors and icons explains how to choose a photo from your photo library for the shortcut icon.

- Open Shortcuts and create or edit a shortcut.
- Configure the action you want using the actions available on your device.
- Add the shortcut to the Home Screen and choose a photo from your photo library as its icon, following Apple’s icon customization instructions.
If the shortcut is meant to open Apple Music, check the actions available in your Shortcuts app. Apple describes shortcuts as sequences of actions that can interact with apps and services in its guide to creating a custom shortcut, but that guide does not guarantee that a particular Apple Music launch action is available on every device or software version. The photo belongs to the shortcut launcher; it does not replace Apple Music’s own branding.
