Google’s US offer checked October 7, 2026, listed $50 off Wi-Fi models and $70 off LTE models for October 5–11. To judge whether the watch is a good buy, compare the exact size and connectivity version, its sale price, and the Pixel Watch 4 price available from the same retailer.
What Google’s offer actually takes off
Google’s US promotion ran from October 5 through October 11, 2026, while supplies lasted. Its offer terms listed $50 off Pixel Watch 5 Wi-Fi models and $70 off LTE models—not a flat $65 on every configuration. The terms applied to US residents shipping to US addresses and included other conditions, including restrictions on combining the offer with some codes or bundles. Check the Google Store offer terms for eligibility and checkout details before treating an advertised saving as your final price.
The $65 figure may describe a particular retailer’s price, configuration, or comparison price, but the available Google offer does not establish that exact discount as a general price. A fair listing should name the watch size, Wi-Fi or LTE version, retailer, sale price, reference price, date checked, and any trade-in or plan requirement.
How much the Pixel Watch 5 costs
Google announced launch starting prices of $399 for the 41 mm model and $429 for the 45 mm model on August 12, 2026; general availability was scheduled to begin August 20. The Stephen Curry Special Edition was announced at $579. These are launch prices, not a guarantee of today’s checkout price. The Google Store specifications page displayed a starting price of $399.99 when checked October 7, 2026, and prices can vary by configuration.

For an offer comparison, use the price shown for the exact model in your cart, not the launch starting price or a headline saving alone. The offer is time-sensitive, so confirm its terms and the current price on the day you buy.
Choose the size and connectivity you will use
41 mm or 45 mm
Google estimates up to 30 hours of battery life for the 41 mm Pixel Watch 5 and up to 40 hours for the 45 mm with always-on display enabled. In Battery Saver, Google’s estimates are up to 48 and 72 hours, respectively. These are estimates, not guaranteed runtimes; Google says use, mobile-network activity, and signal strength affect battery life. If fewer charges matter more to you than a modest price saving, the 45 mm model’s higher estimate may be the more useful difference.

Wi-Fi or LTE
Choose LTE if you want watch connectivity away from your phone and have confirmed your carrier supports it. Google’s promotion listed a different discount for LTE than for Wi-Fi, so compare the actual checkout prices rather than assuming the same saving applies to both. The offer’s data terms are limited: texting requires an active wireless phone plan, and Google says voice calling over LTE is not supported under the offer. It should not be treated as a free, full phone plan.
Google’s specifications list Bluetooth 6, Wi-Fi, NFC, Ultra-Wideband, satellite SOS communication, LTE options, and dual-frequency GPS. Check the Google Store specifications and offer terms for the particular configuration and service conditions.

When the Pixel Watch 5 is worth paying more for
Google’s launch announcement highlights Gemini assistance and updated health, fitness, GPS, and display features. It describes the GPS as “the most accurate GPS tracking available”; that is Google’s product claim, not an independently established comparison. Google also described some tools as upcoming or rolling out, so confirm which features are available to you before buying rather than assuming every announced capability is already accessible.
The useful comparison is the Pixel Watch 5’s actual discounted price against the Pixel Watch 4’s current price, with size and connectivity matched. Android Central characterized the Watch 5 as retaining a similar overall design while adding a newer chip and refinements, and described the generational changes as evolutionary. That editorial framing is not a substitute for Google’s specifications or a hands-on test. If the Watch 4 is materially cheaper and already covers your needs, the newer model’s value depends on whether its specific additions matter to you.

Check band compatibility before buying accessories
Replacement bands are an option, but compatibility varies by band family and watch model. Consult Google’s band compatibility guidance before purchasing: some styles have model-specific fit restrictions. Confirm the band type and watch size rather than relying on a general claim that Pixel Watch bands are interchangeable.
Make the decision using the real price gap
- Consider the Watch 5 if its final price is close to a comparable Watch 4 and you expect to use the new features or the size and connectivity configuration you need.
- Consider the Watch 4 if it is substantially cheaper and its features meet your needs; the Watch 5’s updates may not justify a large premium for every buyer.
- Compare like with like: match 41 mm or 45 mm and Wi-Fi or LTE, then account for carrier requirements, offer eligibility, and the price actually charged at checkout.
Google’s current battery guidance provides the estimates above; treat them as product estimates rather than independent test results.
