Dark Urge dialogue depends on choices, route, tags, and game state, so not every player will hear every line.
Why Dark Urge dialogue changes from run to run
The Dark Urge is an origin character whose story can be resisted or embraced. That context matters: a line may be tied to a particular scene or route rather than being a general response available to every character. Larian’s Patch 7 notes describe added Dark Urge reactivity, including dialogue options and Narrator lines across the game, and note a new line about contemplating arson.
The Act II Moonrise Towers dialogue archive marks some entries with a Dark Urge origin tag, but an archive entry alone does not establish that every Dark Urge player hears it or that the player character is the speaker. The lines below are presented with their available scene context; treat the trigger as route- and scene-dependent.
Eight especially unhinged Dark Urge lines
1. “I remove the vitals, turn the skin inside out, then stuff them.”
This line appears in the Act II Moonrise Towers dialogue archive among Dark Urge-tagged material. Its clinical, matter-of-fact description is what makes it so disturbing: the brutality is delivered like a practical instruction. The archive excerpt does not establish the speaker or exact trigger, so it is best read as a scene-specific line rather than a guaranteed player dialogue option. Act II dialogue archive.

2. “… murder, glorious murder.”
Also recorded in the Moonrise Towers Act II archive with Dark Urge-tagged material, this brief line turns murder into an ecstatic refrain. Its darkly theatrical tone makes it memorable, though the archived excerpt does not provide enough surrounding context to identify its speaker or precise trigger with confidence. 3. “*The pleasure of the memory dribbles out of your leaking skull, into the very air…*”
The same archive records this Narrator-style description in Dark Urge-tagged Act II material. The grotesque image is unsettling because it makes a memory feel physically present, as if violence has contaminated the space around the character. The available excerpt does not establish the exact scene condition, so this should not be treated as a line heard in every run. Act II dialogue archive.

4. The arson contemplation
Larian’s Patch 7 notes explicitly call out a new line in which the Dark Urge contemplates arson. That is a strikingly casual escalation: the urge turns destruction into an idle possibility. The notes confirm the addition, but do not supply the full wording or a precise trigger, so this is a documented moment rather than a verbatim quote. Larian Patch 7 notes.
5. “Blood, blood, blood”
Larian’s Patch 6 notes say the Dark Urge ending cinematic gained the chant “Blood, blood, blood.” Its repetition gives the ending a ritualistic, fevered quality. This is specifically an ending-cinematic detail, not a line to expect during ordinary exploration, and its relevance depends on the ending and route. Larian Patch 6 notes.

6–8. Let the scene determine the last three picks
The available source-backed material does not establish eight separate lines with verified speakers, exact wording, and triggers. Rather than invent three quotes or attribute unrelated dialogue to the Dark Urge, it is more useful to treat the remaining slots as a reminder of how the origin’s dialogue works: additional lines can surface through route choices, scene context, and game-state reactivity. Larian’s Patch 7 notes confirm that dialogue and Narrator reactivity were expanded, but do not identify three more quotable lines for a reliable list.
That uncertainty also helps explain why the funniest or most shocking moments are personal. A line heard after resisting the Urge can land differently from an ending shaped by embracing it; the community wiki’s epilogue overview notes that the epilogue varies depending on whether the Urge was rejected or embraced.

How to read Dark Urge quotes without losing the context
- Check who is speaking. A dialogue archive can include player dialogue, companion lines, and Narrator text in the same scene.
- Keep the trigger attached. Origin tags, route choices, and scene conditions can determine whether a line appears.
- Separate verified wording from a patch-note summary. Patch 6 documents the “Blood, blood, blood” chant; Patch 7 confirms an arson contemplation line without publishing its full wording.
- Expect variation. The epilogue and other Dark Urge material change with the path taken, so a memorable line from one run is not necessarily universal.
