Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →You can try four built-in TV settings to make everyday use more convenient without buying anything: start on the last-used input, choose Filmmaker Mode, pair Bluetooth audio, and enable HDMI-CEC. Whether they help depends on how you use your TV and what your model and connected devices support; these are practical suggestions, not measured performance improvements.
1. Start your TV on the last-used input
If you usually watch through the same external device—such as a streaming player or game console—setting the TV to reopen the last-used source can save you from navigating to that HDMI input each time. It is less useful if you mainly use the TV’s built-in apps or switch sources frequently.
Look in your TV’s startup or home-screen settings for an option such as “Recent Input,” “Last Used Input,” or “Power On Screen.” One LG menu path reported for this setting is General > System > More Settings > Home Settings > Power On Screen. An older Samsung example is All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Options. Menus and labels vary by model and firmware, so treat these as examples rather than universal paths. If you do not see a matching option, check your TV’s manual or search its settings for “input” or “startup.”
2. Try Filmmaker Mode
Filmmaker Mode is a picture mode intended to reduce processing that can change how films and shows are presented. If your TV offers it, select it from the picture or picture-mode menu while watching content where you want that presentation. It is a preference to try, not a guarantee of a better picture: the source for this recommendation reports no measurements comparing modes.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Some TVs may offer automatic switching for supported content, but availability and behavior depend on the specific model and firmware. Check your TV’s picture settings or manual rather than assuming the feature is present.
3. Pair Bluetooth headphones or speakers
Bluetooth audio can let you listen through compatible headphones, earbuds, or speakers instead of the TV’s built-in speakers. That can be useful for private or late-night listening. The TV must support Bluetooth audio, and the listening device must pair successfully; support is not established for every TV model or accessory.

Open your TV’s audio, sound-output, or Bluetooth settings and look for an option to add or pair a device. Put the headphones or speaker into pairing mode when prompted. If the TV cannot find it, consult the manuals for both devices and confirm that the TV supports Bluetooth audio output, not merely Bluetooth connections for other purposes. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 is one headset named as an example in the source article, not a tested or required choice.
4. Enable HDMI-CEC for connected devices
HDMI-CEC lets a TV and compatible devices connected over HDMI send certain control commands. Depending on the equipment, a device may turn on the TV or prompt it to switch to that device’s input. This can reduce the number of remotes or steps involved, but the available actions and reliability depend on the TV, its settings, and the connected device.

Find HDMI-CEC in the TV’s settings; manufacturers may use a brand-specific name. Examples include Simplink on LG TVs and Anynet+ on Samsung TVs. Enable the feature on the TV and, if necessary, in the connected device’s settings too. An Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max and a PlayStation 5 are examples of HDMI devices discussed in the source article, not verified compatibility combinations.
If devices do not respond as expected, check that CEC is enabled on each relevant device and try the TV’s other HDMI ports if its manual indicates that port support differs. When CEC causes unwanted power-ons or input changes, turn it off for the TV or the device involved.

Which settings are worth trying first?
| Setting | Most useful when | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Last-used input | You routinely use the same external HDMI source. | Whether your TV offers a startup or recent-input option. |
| Filmmaker Mode | You want to try a picture mode intended to reduce processing. | Whether your TV has the mode and how you prefer its picture. |
| Bluetooth audio | You want private listening through headphones, earbuds, or a speaker. | Bluetooth audio-output support on the TV and pairing support on the audio device. |
| HDMI-CEC | You want compatible HDMI devices and the TV to coordinate basic controls. | CEC support and settings on both the TV and the connected device. |
Try the setting that matches a recurring annoyance first, then keep it only if it improves your own setup. None requires a paid upgrade, but not every TV exposes every option, and a setting that works on one brand or device combination may behave differently on another.
