The update notes cover both PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. These details come from a Reddit post that reproduces the notes and links to the official PlayStation Support changelog (Reddit post). The exact rollout timing and affected regions are not confirmed here, so check PlayStation Support for your console.
1. Enhanced PSSR image quality (PS5 Pro only)
According to the reproduced notes, the update adds an enhanced version of PSSR, Sony’s AI-based upscaling. It is available only on PS5 Pro. The setting turns on automatically after you install the update. It applies enhanced PSSR even to games that already supported the previous PSSR version.
To turn it off, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Enhance PSSR Image Quality.
The notes describe the feature but give no measurements. How much better a given game looks has not been established, so judge it yourself by toggling the setting. Standard PS5 owners do not get this option. The other three changes are not tied to the Pro.

2. Voice chat speaker indicator
Voice chat now can show on screen who is talking, which helps in busy parties. Per the notes:
- Open the voice chat card in Control Center.
- Select More > Display Who’s Speaking.
- Turn on Display Names if you want names shown.
- Use Position to choose where the indicator appears.
3. Community Activity widget in the Welcome Hub

4. Bluetooth-off behavior in certain regions
In certain regions, the notes say that turning Bluetooth off in the specified settings path has side effects: the console will not enter rest mode, and HDMI Device Link will not work. The notes describe this setting as intended for managing controller connections at esports venues and similar places, so it is not meant for everyday use. The notes do not name the affected regions. If rest mode or HDMI Device Link stops working, check that Bluetooth has not been disabled.
