There is no universal Windows-local iOS emulator established by the available current sources that lets you install and run arbitrary App Store apps. The options commonly called “iOS emulators” do different jobs: some preview a developer-supplied app build in a browser, one gives you remote access to real iPhones for testing, Apple’s simulator runs on a Mac, and one platform provides virtual devices for specialist security work.
Choose based on what you need to do—not on the word “emulator.” The key differences are whether you have an app build or want an App Store app, whether the software simulates iOS or connects to physical hardware, whether the workflow works from Windows or requires macOS, and whether your goal is a preview, QA, development, or security research.
What “iOS emulator for PC” means in practice
Search results use “emulator” loosely. A browser-streamed preview, a remote physical iPhone, Apple’s development simulator, a virtual security-research device, and an iOS-looking interface mock-up are not interchangeable. None should be assumed to provide unrestricted access to the App Store from a Windows PC.
The practical options below are useful for different audiences. If you want to try a particular iPhone app as an ordinary user, first check whether its developer offers a web version or a Windows app; the options here are primarily for previewing builds, testing, development, or security work.

Which option fits your task?
| Option | What it provides | Best suited to | Windows workflow |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appetize.io | Browser-streamed preview of a supported app build you supply | Demonstrations and basic walkthroughs | Use the service in a browser; a compatible build is required |
| BrowserStack App Live | Interactive access to remote physical iOS devices | QA and testing where real hardware matters | Access devices through a browser; this is not local emulation |
| Apple’s Xcode Simulator | Apple’s development and testing simulators | App development and simulator-based testing | Requires a Mac; it is not a native Windows solution |
| Corellium | Configurable virtual iOS devices with low-level research capabilities | Authorized security research and advanced testing | Not presented as a casual Windows substitute for an iPhone |
1. Appetize.io: preview a supplied iOS app build in a browser
Appetize.io is a practical choice when you already have a compatible iOS app build and want to show or walk through it from a browser on Windows. It streams supported uploaded builds; it is not an App Store replacement and does not provide general discovery or installation of arbitrary iPhone apps. See the Appetize.io product information for current compatibility and service details.
What it can and cannot tell you
A browser preview can help demonstrate screens and basic app flows. It is a weaker basis for judging behavior that depends on a particular iPhone, its sensors, or local hardware. Network latency and differences from a physical device can affect what you observe. For camera, GPS, push notifications, payments, Bluetooth, or other device-dependent checks, use real hardware or a real-device testing service.

- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
2. BrowserStack App Live: test on real iPhones remotely
BrowserStack App Live gives testers browser access to physical iOS and Android devices for interactive app testing. That makes it a better fit than a simulator when a QA task depends on real-device behavior, but it is still not an iPhone running locally inside Windows. You need a compatible app and testing workflow. BrowserStack describes the service on its App Live product page.
Check the device and plan details before choosing
The available device catalog, operating-system versions, and plan limits can change. Confirm those details with BrowserStack for the devices and test coverage you need instead of assuming a particular iPhone model or iOS release is included.

3. Apple’s Xcode Simulator: the Mac-only development choice
Apple’s Xcode development tools include simulators for Apple devices and support app development, testing, and distribution. The Xcode Simulator is intended for development workflows, not as a way to install any App Store app on Windows. Apple’s Xcode page describes its development tools and simulator capabilities.
The reviewed current comparison says Xcode and its simulator require macOS, so this is a Mac workflow rather than a native Windows emulator. If you need local Apple development tools, you need access to a compatible Mac; buying a Mac mini or another Mac changes your development setup, but it does not turn Windows itself into an iOS emulator. See the Windows alternatives comparison for the distinction.

Corellium is aimed at authorized security research and advanced testing, not casual app use. Its platform describes virtual devices with jailbreak/root access, system and file analytics, low-level debugging, network analysis, and configurable sensors. Those capabilities make it a specialist research environment rather than a lightweight route to running arbitrary App Store apps. Review Corellium’s platform information to assess whether its capabilities fit your authorized work.
Quick Recap
How to choose without mistaking a preview for an iPhone
- You have a build and need a browser demo: consider Appetize.io for a supported-build preview.
- You need interactive testing on physical iPhones: consider BrowserStack App Live and verify its current device and plan coverage.
- You are building an iOS app and can use macOS: use Xcode Simulator on a Mac.
- You are conducting authorized low-level security work: assess Corellium as a specialist platform.
- You want to install an arbitrary App Store app on a Windows PC: these options do not establish a universal local solution for that job.
