There is no official, general-purpose Windows program that runs arbitrary iPhone App Store apps locally. “iOS emulator” is often used as a catch-all for several different things: Apple’s Mac-only Simulator, browser previews of app builds, remote access to real iPhones, and interface mock-ups. The 15 options below are useful for different jobs, but they are not 15 equivalent Windows emulators.
Choose based on what you need to do: develop an app, preview a build, test on real iPhone hardware, distribute a beta, or simply view an iOS-style interface. If you need an app to run on a PC exactly as it does on an iPhone, you will need an Apple device; the options that provide actual iOS execution use a Mac or remote iPhone hardware.
What “iOS emulator for PC” means
Before choosing a tool, separate four kinds of access:
- Simulation: software on a Mac imitates selected iPhone or iPad environments for app development and debugging.
- Browser preview: a service runs an app build you provide and displays it in a browser.
- Remote device testing: a service gives you access to a real iPhone or iPad over the internet.
- Interface imitation: software recreates the look of iOS but does not run native iPhone apps.
These distinctions matter because a simulator or preview cannot confirm every hardware-dependent behavior. Apple says its simulators run on a Mac and “don’t replicate the performance or features of a physical device.” Apple also advises: “To verify that your app runs exactly as intended, run it on one or more physical devices.” See Apple’s guide to running apps on simulated or physical devices.

15 iOS emulator alternatives for PC, Mac, and app testing
The list includes developer tools, remote services, and testing methods—not just emulators. Availability, device catalogs, software versions, plans, and pricing can change; confirm current details with each provider before choosing a service.
1. Xcode Simulator — best for iOS development on a Mac
Apple distributes Simulator as part of Xcode on macOS, not as a standalone Windows app. Developers can run and debug compatible app projects in simulated iPhone and iPad environments. It is the most direct choice for an Apple development workflow if you have access to a Mac, but it is not a way to install arbitrary App Store downloads on Windows.

2. Appetize — best for a browser preview of a supplied build
Appetize is a cloud service for running and presenting mobile apps in a browser. Its documented uses include previews, demos, support, training, testing, embedding, and screenshot automation. You upload an app build; it is not unrestricted access to the App Store or a local Windows iPhone emulator. See Appetize’s documentation.
3. BrowserStack — best-known route to remote iPhone testing from Windows
BrowserStack describes manual and automated iOS app testing through a real-device cloud, including from a Windows system. The app runs on remote physical hardware, rather than inside a local Windows simulator. Its guide is How to Test iOS Apps on Windows. Check the provider’s current device catalog and plans before relying on a particular model or iOS version.

4. TestMu AI — real-device cloud option to evaluate
TestMu AI is named as a cloud-testing option for iOS in current comparison coverage. The available information does not establish its present device selection, plans, or exact workflow, so compare its current official product documentation before choosing it. Treat it as a service to investigate, not as a confirmed local emulator for Windows.
5. Sauce Labs — cloud-testing option to evaluate
Sauce Labs is another named cloud-testing alternative. Its exact current iOS hardware support, plans, and workflows are not established here. Verify the provider’s current documentation and device catalog if you need a particular iPhone, iPad, or OS version.
6. Corellium — specialized virtualization for security research
Corellium is intended for specialized virtualization and security-research work, not casual access to App Store apps from a Windows desktop. It belongs on a shortlist only when the use case is compatible with that specialized role; it should not be presented as a general-purpose Windows iPhone emulator.

8. iPadian — best for an iOS-style visual mock-up
iPadian imitates an iOS-style interface. It is not a native iOS runtime and does not run ordinary iPhone apps as they run on an Apple device. Use it only if your goal is to view or demonstrate a visual imitation, not to develop, install, or validate a real iOS app.

9. MacStadium — hosted Mac access for Windows users
A hosted Mac service lets a Windows user connect to Mac hardware remotely; Xcode and Simulator still run on that Mac. MacStadium is one such route to investigate. It does not turn Windows into an iOS emulator, and current availability, configuration, and performance depend on the provider’s offering.
10. MacinCloud — another hosted Mac route
MacinCloud is also named as a hosted Mac option. The general workflow is to use Windows as the client while Apple’s development tools run on remote Mac hardware. Confirm current access arrangements and capabilities with the vendor; no particular price or performance level is established here.
11. Remote iOS Simulator for .NET MAUI — Windows client, Mac host
This Windows-facing workflow is relevant especially to .NET MAUI developers. The simulator is hosted on a Mac, so a Mac remains part of the setup. It is a development workflow, not an independent Windows emulator for App Store apps.
12. Xcode Cloud or another iOS CI workflow — for builds and automated checks
Continuous-integration services can support remote iOS build and test workflows. They are useful for a development pipeline, but they do not give you an interactive iPhone desktop inside Windows. Choose CI when the goal is repeatable build or test automation, not manual app use.
13. TestFlight — for beta distribution to Apple devices
TestFlight is a way to distribute beta builds to Apple devices. It is not a PC emulator: testers use an iPhone or iPad to install and exercise the app. Consider it when the goal is gathering feedback on a beta rather than previewing an app inside Windows.

14. Physical iPhone — best for real iPhone behavior
Testing on an iPhone is the most direct way to validate behavior that depends on actual hardware. It is especially important for sensors, biometrics, payment flows, carrier behavior, and other device-specific features. The app runs on the phone, not in the PC; use it alongside Simulator or automated testing when you also need development or repeatability.

15. Physical iPad — for real iPad behavior and layouts
A physical iPad is the appropriate choice when you need to validate the app on actual iPad hardware, including device-specific behavior and presentation. Like an iPhone, it is a testing device rather than an emulator that runs apps inside Windows.

Can you run iPhone apps on Windows without an iPhone?
Not through an official, general-purpose Windows emulator. If you have an app build, a browser service such as Appetize may let you preview it, while a real-device cloud may let you use a remote iPhone. If you need Apple’s own Simulator and Xcode, use a Mac locally or connect to a hosted Mac. None of those routes makes Windows itself a native iOS runtime.
When a simulator is not enough
Use Simulator for development and debugging, but verify important behavior on physical hardware. Simulation does not reproduce every device feature or performance characteristic, and some tests inherently depend on a real device. For QA, combine approaches where useful: a simulator for fast development checks, remote devices for coverage across hardware, and an owned iPhone or iPad for hands-on validation.
