Start by checking which Galaxy S25 model and software version you have, then explore the features that fit how you use your phone. These tips cover Galaxy AI, Now Brief and Now Bar, camera tools, and battery choices. The S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra do not share identical hardware or feature availability, and menus can change with updates, region and rollout.

Software note: Samsung’s support page lists an Android 16 manual for the S25 family, while an update record for the S25 Ultra (SM-S938B) reports Android 17 and One UI 9 released October 7, 2026. That update record applies to the listed model and context; it does not establish availability for every S25, carrier or region. If a path below does not match your phone, search Settings for the feature name and check your installed software version.

1. Check your Galaxy AI settings before using AI features

Open Settings > Galaxy AI on software that offers this menu. Review which tools are available and their settings rather than assuming every feature is enabled or offered on your device. Feature access can depend on the model, software version and region. If you prefer to limit what a feature can access, inspect its settings and permissions before using it.

2. Try Audio Eraser on a video you have recorded

Audio Eraser is useful when you want to adjust sound in a video after capture. Samsung’s One UI 8 walkthrough describes this flow:

  1. Open Gallery and select a video.
  2. Tap the Galaxy AI icon.
  3. Adjust the audio levels or choose Auto, then preview the result.
  4. Save the edited version as a copy.

The walkthrough also describes related audio tools in Video Player, Voice Recorder, Samsung Notes and recorded phone calls. Exact availability depends on your software and device.

3. Decide whether Now Brief and Now Bar suit your routine

Samsung introduced Now Brief as a source of tailored suggestions and Now Bar as a place to see ongoing activities on the S25 series. Try them as optional glanceable features, then review their settings and permissions. Keep them only if the information and activity updates are useful to you; their value depends on your preferences and the features available on your software.

4. Use Gemini across supported apps, not as a universal command tool

Samsung’s S25 launch materials describe Gemini actions that work across Samsung and Google apps. This can make supported multi-app tasks more convenient, but it does not mean every third-party app or spoken command is supported. Try a task with apps you actually use and check what the assistant can do on your device.

5. Let Scene Optimization handle quick photos

For everyday snapshots, try Scene Optimization when you want the camera to assist with the scene rather than adjust settings yourself. It is the convenience-first option in this guide. If you want control over exposure choices, move to Pro Mode instead.

6. Try Nightography in low light

When a scene is dim, explore the camera’s Nightography options before giving up on the shot. The S25 camera guide identifies Nightography as a feature to try, but the available hardware and results can differ among the base S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra. Do not assume that a feature name implies identical camera capabilities across the family.

7. Use Pro Mode when you want manual camera control

Pro Mode is for situations where you want to control the look of a photo rather than rely on automatic assistance. The cited S25 camera guide identifies controls for exposure, ISO, shutter speed and white balance. Change them deliberately and review the result; Scene Optimization is the simpler choice when speed matters more than hands-on control.

8. Explore zoom with your exact S25 model

The S25 family does not have identical camera hardware or zoom ranges. Try the zoom options on your own phone and check which camera or setting is active rather than assuming advice for the Ultra applies to the base S25 or S25+. The camera guide discusses zoom as an area to explore, but does not establish one universal zoom range for all three models.

9. Use Photo Assist and Generative Edit after capture

When a photo needs changes, explore Photo Assist and Generative Edit as post-capture tools. They offer a different approach from adjusting the shot in Pro Mode: edit after taking the picture rather than controlling exposure while shooting. Check the result before keeping it, and use the version of the tools available on your software.

10. Try Instant Slow-mo on a video

Instant Slow-mo can create a slow-motion effect after capture, according to the S25 camera guide. Try it on a clip where slowing the action would help you see or emphasize a moment. Its availability and workflow may vary with your model and software.

11. If you have an S25 Ultra, check its model-specific camera options

The cited camera guide identifies Food Mode as an S25 Ultra tip, so do not treat it as a standard feature across the whole S25 family. Samsung’s guide also discusses the Ultra in the context of its display and DeX. Check the options shown on your Ultra rather than following instructions written for another S25 model.

12. Make battery adjustments based on your own use

Samsung Business Insights gives the S25-series battery capacity range as 4,000mAh to 5,000mAh in 2025, depending on model. Capacity is a specification, not a runtime guarantee. Display, connectivity and background activity are areas you can review if battery life matters, but no quantified saving from a particular toggle is established here. Change one setting at a time and judge it against your own use rather than expecting a fixed improvement.

13. Treat Energy Score as a wearable-linked feature

Samsung says Energy Score draws on activity, sleep and heart-rate data captured through a Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Watch. It is therefore an optional wearable-linked experience, not a phone-only S25 feature. If you do not use a compatible wearable, do not expect the phone by itself to supply the data described for Energy Score.

14. Recheck instructions after software updates

Samsung’s manuals and update records show that S25 software changes over time. If a menu path or tool is missing, first confirm your model and installed software version, then search Settings for the feature name. A feature’s absence from your screen may reflect model, regional or rollout differences rather than a mistake in your navigation.
