Extended Operations is a free update for 007 First Light, released October 1, 2026 as game version 1.3.0. It adds New Game+, Photo Mode, a new 00 difficulty, and more TacSim content. You do not need to buy separate DLC or link an IOI Account to play; New Game+ does require a completed campaign, while some rewards require an account.
What does Extended Operations add?
IO Interactive describes Extended Operations as free DLC in its October 1, 2026 announcement and version 1.3.0 patch notes. The update includes:
- New Game+: Replay the campaign after completing the entire story. IO Interactive says you can start from the beginning or a completed checkpoint and use unlocked outfits and gadgets. Gadget access still follows story progression, so a gadget is unavailable until the campaign has introduced or unlocked it.
- Photo Mode: Pause the action and adjust the camera, lens, image, character pose, interface visibility, and frame elements.
- 00 difficulty: The hardest difficulty setting, with faster enemy detection, harder hits, and slower restoration of gadget resources.
- TacSim additions: New content includes the Valhalla Protocol, a return to The Pearl in Vietnam, and additional weapon availability. IO Interactive’s announcement also describes new TacSim missions, including an Aston Martin Valhalla sequence.
- Weapon handling and fixes: The publisher says the update improves weapon-handling animations and includes more than 700 fixes and improvements across crashes, progression, visuals, audio, localization, and interface issues. The figure is IO Interactive’s own count in the patch notes.
How do you access Extended Operations?
Install the free version 1.3.0 update through the store or launcher where you play 007 First Light. The patch notes list update delivery for PS5, Steam, Xbox Series, Microsoft PC, and Epic Games Store. Once the update is installed, the added features are part of the game; New Game+ remains locked until you complete the full campaign.
- Open the game’s library or store page on your platform.
- Download and install the available game update. The update is version 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026.
- Complete the campaign to unlock New Game+. Other update features, such as Photo Mode and the new difficulty, are not described as requiring a completed campaign.
Is Extended Operations free, and do you need an IOI Account?
Extended Operations is free; no particular game edition is identified as a requirement for the update. An IOI Account is not required to play 007 First Light, according to the official player support page. An account is required for certain account-linked rewards.

What rewards can you get by linking an IOI Account?

The patch notes also list a Twitch Drop called “One More”, with a stated availability window of October 1, 2026 at 03:00 UTC through October 16, 2026 at 17:00 UTC.
