If YouTube flags the audio on a 24/7 bhajan stream, start with the exact warning in Live Control Room, then check the audio your encoder is sending: codec, bitrate, sample rate, and number of audio streams. For stereo, YouTube lists 44.1 kHz and recommends 128 Kbps. These are general live-encoder settings; YouTube does not publish a separate audio preset for bhajan or continuous streams.
Read the warning before changing settings
In YouTube Live Control Room, look beside the Health Indicator for error messages. YouTube says messages include a timestamp and are marked red for critical errors or yellow for moderate ones. An unfixed error can recur, so note its exact wording and when it appeared before adjusting the encoder.
The wording helps narrow the cause: YouTube’s error guidance refers to incorrect audio settings, audio stream bitrate, sample rate, and a missing audio stream. Follow the specific alert and your configured ingestion protocol rather than changing several settings at once. YouTube’s live-stream troubleshooting guide

Codec and stream format
YouTube’s general RTMP/RTMPS encoder settings list AAC or MP3 audio. For an incorrect-format warning, its error guidance specifically directs creators to use H.264 video and AAC audio. Confirm that this matches the warning and the protocol you are using before making a change; the error-specific guidance is more precise than treating every alert as the same problem.
#1 Best Overall
- [XLR Mic Input] One XLR microphone input interface is set on the gaming audio mixer, which is great to up your audio quality with your XLR setup. The XLR mixer is a stepping stone to upgrade your live streaming. Audio mixer offered built-in 48V phantom power which opens up more choices for mics. Flowing or frozen RGB color rotation in a decent pace presents a greatly strong impression as a "light show" to your audience. Even a streaming equipment accessory will not be dull looking when video production.
Bitrate and sample rate
- Stereo: set the encoded sample rate to 44.1 kHz. YouTube recommends 128 Kbps for stereo audio.
- 5.1 surround: YouTube lists 48 kHz for 5.1 audio. Do not apply the stereo sample-rate setting to a 5.1 configuration.
The error guidance may flag an audio bitrate above or below YouTube’s recommendation, or an incorrect sample rate. Check the value in the outgoing encoder configuration, not just the source file’s properties. YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance
One audio stream, not zero or several
Inspect the encoder’s output or muxing settings to ensure it sends exactly one audio stream. A disabled audio checkbox or unselected track can leave the stream with no audio; sending multiple audio streams can also cause ingestion problems. If the encoder offers track selection, choose the intended bhajan mix and remove unintended additional audio tracks from the outgoing stream.

Find out whether the fault is in the audio path or connection
If the encoder preview already sounds wrong
Check the selected audio source and routing first: confirm the intended player, mixer, or input is feeding the encoder. Then review encoder error messages and CPU load, and play back a local archive if one is being recorded. YouTube’s troubleshooting guidance associates poor sound or picture at the encoder with source quality and recommends checking errors, CPU load, and archive playback.

If the stream sounds healthy in the encoder but viewers report trouble, investigate the outbound internet connection. YouTube advises testing the connection and contacting the internet service provider if it is faulty. Audio settings and available upload bandwidth are separate checks: a correct codec and sample rate cannot compensate for an unstable or insufficient connection. - Compact, feature-rich livestreaming USB audio mixer provides high-quality sound for desktop audio production
- Plug-and-play connectivity to computer or mobile device (no special drivers required)
- Loopback function makes it easy to mix mic and instrument inputs with background music, game sounds, or other audio input from a computer – and send the stereo mix back to the computer for streaming
- High-performance A/D converter with resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz provides crystal-clear output for voice and instruments
- Equipped with a single mic input (XLR or ¼"), two LINE inputs for guitar and keyboard, and USB-C input for connecting to a computer
Test before running the bhajan stream continuously
- Use a test stream where practical. Try an unlisted or private broadcast and play audio similar to what the 24/7 stream will use.
- Check the outgoing result. Listen to the Live Control Room preview, review health messages, and verify that the encoder is sending one audio stream with the intended codec, sample rate, and bitrate.
- Listen and monitor during the event. YouTube recommends testing before going live; keep monitoring sound and stream health rather than assuming a clean initial test guarantees an uninterrupted long run.
- Leave upload headroom. Total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth. If operating a backup stream, YouTube recommends capacity for the primary bitrate plus the backup bitrate plus 20%.
YouTube’s published guidance reviewed here provides general live-encoder requirements, not a special 24-hour or devotional-music audio profile. The checks above apply those general recommendations to a continuous stream. YouTube says to test before starting a live stream; its bandwidth guidance covers upload capacity and backup streams.
Troubleshoot by symptom
| Symptom or warning | What to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Incorrect format or unsupported codec | Audio codec and encoder protocol settings | For the incorrect-format warning, check for H.264 video and AAC audio. General RTMP/RTMPS guidance lists AAC or MP3 audio; confirm the exact alert and ingestion mode before changing the configuration. |
| Audio bitrate too high or low | Encoded audio bitrate | For stereo, compare the outgoing value with YouTube’s recommended 128 Kbps. |
| Incorrect sample rate | Encoded audio sample rate | Use 44.1 kHz for stereo or the listed 48 kHz setting for 5.1 surround. |
| No audio stream | Encoder audio enable setting and selected output | Enable audio output and select the intended track; some encoders use an audio checkbox. |
| Multiple audio streams | Output tracks being muxed | Configure the outgoing stream to contain one audio stream. |
| Audio sounds poor in the encoder preview | Source, routing, encoder errors, CPU load, and local archive playback | Trace the audio path and use the preview and archive to determine whether the issue exists before YouTube receives the stream. |
| Encoder preview sounds healthy but viewers report trouble | Outbound internet connection | Test the connection and contact the ISP if it is faulty; check upload capacity separately from audio encoding settings. |
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube bhajan stream built from uploaded recordings, StreamNeo keeps the channel live from the cloud: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams uploaded video, not a live camera feed.
