For a Punjabi music playlist streamed at 1080p and 30 fps, set your live encoder to 1920×1080 progressive video, use the bitrate for your chosen codec, select CBR, and set a 2-second keyframe interval. YouTube’s live recommendations are 14 Mbps for H.264 or 10 Mbps for AV1/H.265; those are recommended incoming video bitrates, not upload-video settings. Just as important, confirm that you have permission to livestream the music and that any required Content ID allowlisting is in place.
Recommended YouTube Live settings for 1080p at 30 fps
These figures are YouTube’s live encoder recommendations. Select the row matching the codec your encoder will actually send; do not choose a bitrate from YouTube’s separate upload recommendations.
| Video codec | Minimum live bitrate | Recommended live bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| H.264 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| AV1 or H.265/HEVC | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
The values are for the incoming live video stream. YouTube does not identify a publication year for this live settings guidance; its recommendations may change. YouTube’s live encoder settings lists supported protocols, codecs, and configuration recommendations.

Core video and audio configuration
- Resolution and frame rate: 1920×1080 progressive at 30 fps.
- Bitrate mode: Constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: Every 2 seconds; YouTube says the interval must not exceed 4 seconds.
- Audio: AAC or MP3 are listed as supported live audio codecs. For stereo advanced audio settings, YouTube lists 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps.
- Protocol: Use RTMPS if your encoder supports it; YouTube recommends it. RTMP is also listed.
Additional SDR video settings
For SDR, YouTube lists Rec. 709 color space, square pixels, progressive scan, two B-frames, one reference frame, and CABAC. Use these when your encoder exposes the settings; do not confuse them with the bitrate choice, which depends on codec.
#1 Best Overall
- [XLR Mic Input] One XLR microphone input interface is set on the gaming audio mixer, which is great to up your audio quality with your XLR setup. The XLR mixer is a stepping stone to upgrade your live streaming. Audio mixer offered built-in 48V phantom power which opens up more choices for mics. Directly use it with your condenser microphone but do not solve added peripherals. (NOT available for USB mic)
- [Individual Channel Control] Gaming audio mixer for one mic recording with smooth volume slider fader take your streaming recording to a whole new level with full pleasure. Four independent channels set on the DJ mixer give audio volume of the MICROPHONE, LINE IN, HEADPHONE, and LINE OUT channels individual control. Configurable on the PC audio mixer instead of just operating on your game or streaming software.
- [Mute and Monitor] The front mute and monitor buttons but not at the back, make it easier to get the audio interface use. Ability to mute audio, the audio mixer for streaming prevents background noise from damaging your live broadcast. Real-time feedback between speaking and hearing will not distract your attention, which encourage you to speak more confidently. The sturdy-built control button allow you to operate freely and easily during live streaming.
- [Sound Effects] The computer sound mixer supports four pre-recorded customized button that can be recorded and activated at the press of button to post production. 6 kinds of voice changing modes change your output style. 12 auto tune changes the tone of your voice. The podcast mixer being able to add different and fun effects is a huge bonus for your streaming or game voice.
- [Controllable Vibrant RGB] RGB button on the audio mixer DJ meets different live streaming themes. Lights on the video mixer is vibrant but not harsh on your eyes. Flowing or frozen RGB color rotation in a decent pace presents a greatly strong impression as a "light show" to your audience. Even a streaming equipment accessory will not be dull looking when video production.
Set up the encoder and YouTube stream
- Choose the YouTube live encoder workflow. YouTube automatically detects encoder settings by default. If you need to manually select resolution, YouTube’s help page directs you to create a custom stream key and enable manual settings in the live setup.
- Configure the output. Set 1920×1080 progressive at 30 fps, then choose the matching codec and corresponding recommended bitrate from the table above. If you cannot reliably sustain the recommended bitrate, the listed minimum is a lower option, but a stable connection and a rehearsal matter.
- Set CBR and keyframes. Use CBR and a 2-second keyframe interval. Check that the encoder has not retained a longer interval from another profile.
- Configure stereo audio. Choose AAC when available (MP3 is also supported), with stereo at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps if using YouTube’s advanced audio recommendations.
- Use RTMPS where available. Select the RTMPS ingest option in the encoder if offered. Keep the stream key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Rehearse the full playlist path. Test the actual audio playback and any transitions, including the start and end of tracks and any gaps. Use audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast, as YouTube recommends for testing an encoder setup.
- Monitor the live control room. During the rehearsal and broadcast, watch YouTube’s stream health and messages, and check both audio and video quality.
YouTube’s guidance says to check that upload capacity can carry the complete stream bitrate: total streaming bitrate cannot exceed available upload bandwidth. Leave practical headroom rather than planning to use every bit of a connection’s measured capacity. A stable wired connection is a sensible choice when available, but YouTube does not require a particular router, ISP, or cable product. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance covers bandwidth and monitoring.
Choose latency and DVR for a music playlist
Latency is the delay between capture at the encoder and playback for viewers. YouTube explains that lower latency can increase the chance of playback buffering. For a prerecorded, non-interactive playlist, normal latency is a reasonable default; choose lower latency only when near-live interaction matters and a rehearsal shows stable playback. This is a practical recommendation based on YouTube’s latency tradeoff, not a playlist-specific rule.

DVR lets viewers pause, rewind, and resume the stream. Enable or leave it available if those controls suit the audience; consider how pausing and rejoining will work with the playlist’s sequence. See YouTube’s live latency and DVR guidance for the platform’s definitions and tradeoffs.
Can you livestream copyrighted Punjabi songs?
Only if you have the necessary rights for the livestream and its intended territories and uses. Owning an audio file, buying a song, or configuring the encoder correctly does not itself grant permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can trigger a warning; if the content remains, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder image, interrupt it temporarily, or terminate it.

Confirm licensing and Content ID arrangements before going live
- Ask the rights holder or licensor to confirm that permission covers live streaming, the territories you intend to reach, and any archive or replay of the broadcast.
- Ask whether your YouTube channel must be added to the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist, and have that confirmed before the event. YouTube says even licensed third-party content may interrupt a live stream if the channel is not allowlisted.
- Account for claims after the event: archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends.
- Do not treat a Creator Music license option intended for eligible videos as live-stream clearance. YouTube’s current Creator Music FAQ says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content.
YouTube’s livestream terms state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” This is a requirement stated in YouTube’s official terms, not a statement attributed to a named individual. Read YouTube’s terms, its live-streaming copyright guidance, and the Creator Music FAQ.

Troubleshooting common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Stream health reports unstable video or dropped frames | Available upload bandwidth cannot sustain the total outgoing bitrate, or the connection is unstable. | Check upload capacity against total stream bitrate, reduce the encoder bitrate if necessary, and rehearse on the connection you will use. |
| YouTube does not show the intended resolution | Automatic detection is in use or the encoder output does not match the intended profile. | Verify output is 1920×1080 at 30 fps. If you need manual resolution selection, follow YouTube’s custom stream key and manual settings procedure. |
| Video looks poor despite using 1080p | The chosen codec and bitrate may not match the recommended live settings, or the connection may be constraining the encoder. | Confirm the actual codec, then use its 1080p30 row in the bitrate table; check stream health during a representative rehearsal. |
| Music is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder | A Content ID match or rights issue may have occurred. | Check YouTube’s warning and rights information. Before retrying, confirm live and archive permissions and any required channel allowlisting with the rights holder. |
| Audio cuts out, is too quiet, or has gaps between tracks | The playlist playback or audio path may differ from the tested setup. | Rehearse the full sequence, including transitions and silence, and monitor audio quality and YouTube messages during the stream. |
