For a Gujarati video recorded at 1920×1080 and 25 fps, set your encoder to 1920×1080 at 25 fps if you want to preserve the source’s motion cadence. Use CBR, a 2-second keyframe interval, progressive scan, square pixels, and a supported codec such as H.264. YouTube does not publish a specific bitrate recommendation for 1080p at 25 fps, so do not treat its 1080p30 figures as a 25 fps rule.

Recommended encoder settings

Setting Recommended choice Notes
Resolution 1920×1080 Match the source file. YouTube detects resolution and frame rate automatically by default; a custom stream key can enable manual resolution. YouTube’s encoder settings
Frame rate 25 fps Keep the source cadence when preservation is the goal. YouTube accepts frame rates up to 60 fps, but does not require converting a 25 fps video to 30 fps. Its bitrate table lists 30 and 60 fps, not 25 fps. YouTube’s encoder settings
Video codec H.264 for conventional compatibility YouTube also lists H.265/HEVC and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS. Choose only a codec supported by both your encoder and account setup. YouTube’s encoder settings
Rate control CBR YouTube’s general encoder recommendation. YouTube’s encoder settings
Keyframe interval 2 seconds YouTube recommends 2 seconds and says not to exceed 4 seconds. At 25 fps, 2 seconds equals 50 frames.
Picture format (SDR) Progressive scan, square pixels, Rec. 709, 8-bit These are YouTube’s listed advanced settings for SDR. YouTube’s encoder settings
Stereo audio AAC, 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps YouTube also lists MP3 as an audio option. AAC is required for its 5.1 RTMP option. YouTube’s encoder settings
Transport RTMPS when your encoder supports it YouTube recommends the encrypted RTMP option. YouTube’s streaming tips

What bitrate should you use?

YouTube’s current published table does not include 1080p25, so there is no exact YouTube-published 1080p25 bitrate to quote. The closest reference is its 1080p30 row; these figures apply to 30 fps, not 25 fps:

Published 1080p30 setting Minimum bitrate Recommended bitrate
H.264 5 Mbps 14 Mbps
AV1 or H.265/HEVC 4 Mbps 10 Mbps

Use those only as nearby reference values, not as a guaranteed target for 25 fps. Pick a rate your upload connection can sustain and test the actual stream. Include representative motion and audio in the test, then monitor stream health in Live Control Room. YouTube’s table also lists separate 1080p60 values; do not apply those to a 25 fps feed. See YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate table.

Connect the encoder in YouTube Live Control Room

  1. Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one. Scheduling allows promotion and reminders. YouTube’s live-stream workflow
  2. Copy the connection details. In the stream settings, copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key like a password; if it is exposed, use YouTube’s reset option. YouTube’s live-stream workflow
  3. Set the output. Choose 1920×1080 and 25 fps to match the file. YouTube recommends leaving resolution and frame-rate detection automatic unless you need manual resolution. YouTube’s encoder settings
  4. Test before the event. Send a test feed and check the picture, motion, audio, preview, and stream health. YouTube advises setting up the encoder at least 2 hours in advance and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. YouTube’s streaming tips
  5. Start and end cleanly. For a scheduled event, wait until the incoming feed appears in Live Control Room preview, then select Go live. To end, stop the stream in YouTube and stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. YouTube’s live-stream workflow

Gujarati audio and video checks

YouTube’s cited encoder guidance does not specify a different codec, frame rate, or bitrate for Gujarati-language streams. The language does not change the technical settings above. During the test, listen to the actual Gujarati narration and music for intelligibility and clipping; this is a practical content check, not a separate YouTube language-specific setting.

Common problems and fixes

  • The image looks uneven after changing frame rate: Avoid converting 25 fps footage to 30 fps unless you have a specific production reason. Matching the source avoids changing its motion cadence.
  • The encoder reports a bitrate YouTube does not list for 25 fps: YouTube publishes no 1080p25 row. Use its 1080p30 values only as a labeled reference, test at a sustainable upload rate, and check stream health.
  • The preview does not appear: Confirm the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL and that the matching stream key is entered. Wait for the feed to reach Live Control Room before selecting Go live.
  • The stream key may have been exposed: Reset it in YouTube and update the encoder with the replacement key.
  • The stream looks or sounds wrong despite a connection: Test with representative footage and audio before the scheduled event; check resolution, frame rate, codec support, audio format, preview, and stream-health warnings.
