If the playlist’s video files are actually 24 frames per second (fps), set the encoder’s outgoing frame rate to 24 fps when it supports that setting. YouTube supports live encoder frame rates up to 60 fps and advises preserving the frame rate at which footage was recorded. But “Indian film songs” does not guarantee that every file is 24 fps: check the files, then test the stream before broadcasting.
Where to set the frame rate
Choose the outgoing frame rate in your live encoder—not in a playlist-specific YouTube setting. In YouTube’s Live Control Room workflow, you provide resolution, frame rate, and bitrate through the encoder. YouTube detects the incoming settings and transcodes the stream into formats for viewers. Its default recommendation is automatic detection of resolution and frame rate. YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance describes the supported workflow.
If you need to specify the rate manually, use the encoder’s video or output settings. The exact menu name depends on the software or hardware encoder; the YouTube guidance does not prescribe a particular product’s interface.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCheck whether 24 fps fits your playlist
Inspect the actual media files or use the encoder’s media information readout. Do not choose 24 fps based only on the fact that the videos are Indian film songs: a playlist may contain files with different frame rates.
#1 Best Overall
- Compact but Powerful Design: ZowieBox is smaller than a phone, featuring a tally light and LCD screen for streaming status. Capture console gameplay in up to 4K with zero-lag HDMI passthrough, while the built-in video encoder converts video for IP streaming. The IP stream can also be decoded back to a 4K HDMI signal.
- Standalone Game Streaming: Just plug and play—ZowieBox enables PC-free live gaming without affecting gameplay. As an RTMP hardware encoder and HDMI streamer, it delivers stable streaming directly from your source, making it ideal for gaming, live events, and professional broadcasting.
- NDI|HX3 Converter Technology: ZowieBox converts HDMI signals to NDI|HX3/HX2/HX, functioning as an NDI video encoder, or NDI Video Decoder for flexible IP workflows. Certified NDI technology enables low-latency gameplay streaming through OBS/vMix. Note: Encoder and decoder modes cannot run simultaneously; full NDI signals are not supported.
- UVC to HDMI Conversion: Supporting up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps decoding, ZowieBox enables flexible conversion for webcam and video workflows. As a video decoder and HDMI to IP converter, it expands connectivity options for professional video devices. Note: USB capture card functionality is not currently supported.
- All-around Configuration Options: Control ZowieBox through its web UI on a PC, phone, or tablet. Manage connected PTZ cameras, tally light, video/audio, OSD, work mode, streams, network, and system settings. Support for VISCA over IP encoder workflows enables flexible PTZ control, while the dashboard provides video preview and system status.
- Files are 24 fps: Set the encoder to 24 fps if available. YouTube supports that rate for live encoder input.
- Files are 25 fps: Consider matching the encoder to 25 fps. YouTube’s film-format guidance says a 24 fps or 25 fps progressive master yields the best results for film sources.
- Files have mixed rates: YouTube’s published guidance does not specify how a continuous live playlist should handle mixed-rate files. Check how your encoder behaves; conversion may involve repeating or dropping frames. Do not assume YouTube will preserve each file’s rate individually in one live output.
YouTube’s recommended upload encoding settings state: “Content should be encoded and uploaded in the same frame rate it was recorded.” Its video and audio formatting specifications say: “For film sources, a 24 fps or 25 fps progressive master yields the best results.” These are useful principles for choosing an output rate, but neither page establishes that every song file uses 24 fps.
Other encoder settings to check
Frame rate is only one part of a stable live signal. YouTube’s live encoder guidance covers RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265, or AV1 encoding, constant bitrate (CBR), and keyframes. Its recommended keyframe interval is two seconds and should not exceed four seconds. Recommended bitrate ranges vary by resolution, frame rate, and codec; consult YouTube’s current settings table for the combination you plan to send rather than applying one bitrate to every stream.

- Choose a resolution and bitrate your encoder and connection can sustain reliably.
- Use a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds.
- Run an upload-speed test and leave enough capacity for a consistent outgoing stream.
- Confirm your encoder is sending the intended resolution and frame rate before the event.
Test before going live
- Check the frame-rate information for representative files from the playlist, including any that may differ from the majority.
- In the encoder, set the outgoing rate to 24 fps when that matches the source files and the encoder supports it. Set the other output parameters, including resolution, bitrate, codec, and keyframe interval.
- Start a test broadcast, using an unlisted stream or another suitable test setup.
- Preview the stream in Live Control Room. Check motion for judder or unexpected frame conversion, listen for audio problems, and monitor stream health.
- If the preview is unstable or the output does not match your intended settings, adjust the encoder or connection and test again before the public broadcast.
YouTube recommends testing, previewing in Live Control Room, and monitoring stream health and audio/video quality in its live streaming tips. The test matters because the published guidance does not assess your particular files, encoder, or playlist workflow.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Frame rate is separate from stream latency
Latency is the delay between capture at the encoder or camera and presentation to viewers. YouTube notes that lower latency may increase playback buffering. That is a separate tradeoff from selecting 24 fps; changing the frame rate alone is not a latency setting. See YouTube’s live stream settings guidance.

Common problems and fixes
- The encoder has no 24 fps option: Check whether it offers a custom frame-rate field or a compatible output mode. If it cannot send 24 fps, test the available rate and inspect the preview rather than assuming the result will match the source perfectly.
- Some songs look different from others: Check the frame rates of those files. A mixed-rate playlist may require conversion by the encoder; YouTube does not document a playlist-wide conversion policy.
- The stream buffers or loses health: Check upload capacity, bitrate, and the encoder’s actual output settings. Use a bitrate appropriate to the selected resolution, frame rate, and codec, then test again.
- You cannot start an encoder stream yet: Live streaming may need to be enabled on the channel. YouTube says first-time encoder setup can take up to 24 hours; see its encoder setup instructions.
