A copyright claim or interruption on a 24/7 Punjabi music stream does not, by itself, establish who owns the song or whether your license is sufficient. Check two separate rights layers—the specific sound recording (the master) and the underlying composition—then compare the matched asset and claimant with your written permissions, the stream’s use and territory, and YouTube’s Content ID status. If you have permission, YouTube says to ask the relevant rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
First identify what happened: a live interruption or an archive claim
YouTube can scan a live stream for third-party content. Depending on what its system detects and whether the content remains, it may show a warning, replace the stream with a placeholder or static image, interrupt it, or terminate it. A strike can also lead to termination. This live-stream process is distinct from a Content ID claim made on an archived stream after the livestream ends. Check the live-stream warning or dashboard separately from the archived video’s claim details. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance

A claim notice is not a complete ownership record. It may identify a claimant and matched asset, but the notice alone does not establish that the claimant controls every relevant right, that the match is the exact recording you used, or that your agreement covers continuous live broadcasting and an archive.

Sound recording: the master actually heard in the stream
The sound recording is the particular recorded performance: for example, one release, version, edit, or remaster of a song. A label may provide a Sound Recording asset to YouTube, but that does not prove the label currently owns or administers every recording of that title, or that it controls the matched asset in every territory. Compare the claim with the recording’s title, artist, version, label information, ISRC if available, and the contract or authorization naming the relevant master.

Composition: the underlying musical work
The composition is the underlying song, including its writer and publisher interests. Those rights may be distinct from the sound recording rights, and a song can involve multiple writers, publishers, or administrators. Do not assume that permission for a recording automatically clears the composition, or that a label controls the composition simply because it released the recording.
YouTube’s music-partner system represents these separately: a Sound Recording asset can embed one or more Composition Share assets. YouTube cautions labels against creating composition assets without an appropriate contract and publishers against creating sound recording assets. This makes asset type and authority important clues to investigate, not proof of who owns a particular Punjabi song. YouTube’s Content ID guidance for music partners

Work through the claim with this checklist
- Capture the exact notice. In YouTube Studio, note the track title and artist shown, claimant name, claim type, matched segment or timecode, and any asset identifier or ISRC shown. Preserve the notice and any live-stream warnings. A Punjabi song may have multiple recordings, edits, remasters, or versions, so verify the match rather than treating a title match as conclusive.
- Identify the specific recording. Compare the matched segment with the version you used. Check the ISRC, title, artist, and record-label information where available. YouTube’s metadata guidance lists ISRC, title, artist, and record label among the minimum metadata for a sound recording or music video asset. Metadata can help identify a lead; it does not conclusively prove current ownership or authority. YouTube’s Content Manager responsibilities and feature-access guidance
- Check the composition interests too. Find the composition title and writer information and compare it with the relevant publisher, administrator, and any composition rights listed in your agreement. YouTube’s metadata guidance calls for a title and writer for a composition asset; the claimant name on a notice is not a substitute for checking the composition grant. YouTube’s Content Manager responsibilities and feature-access guidance
- Read the actual grant against your use. Confirm that the authorization covers the exact master and composition, YouTube, live streaming, continuous or repeated broadcasting, the archived video if you keep one, monetization if applicable, the relevant territories, and the applicable term. Check whether the grant permits sublicensing or requires administrator approval. These are questions to answer from the contract and rights-holder confirmation; they cannot be inferred from the claim title.
- Verify the claimant’s authority. Ask whether the claimant owns or administers the matched asset for the relevant territory and period, and whether it can authorize both rights layers your use needs. If rights are split, a single claimant or label may not be able to clear every interest.
- If authorized, request allowlisting. Ask the relevant owner or administrator to add your YouTube channel to its Content ID allowlist. Give it the channel ID and ask it to confirm in writing which asset, territory, and dates the permission covers. YouTube specifically advises licensed streamers to request allowlisting because a live stream can still be interrupted without it, even when the streamer has a license or restricts the stream to territories where it owns rights. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance
- Handle the archive as a separate issue. If the livestream ended and the archived video received a claim, review that video’s claim details and use the dispute or appeal options presented in Studio only if you have a good-faith rights basis. A live interruption and a post-stream archive claim are different events; resolving one does not necessarily resolve the other. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance
- Escalate unresolved rights questions. If the contract, claimant authority, ownership split, or territory is disputed, gather the claim notice and complete rights documents and consult a qualified lawyer familiar with music rights in the relevant territory. YouTube’s platform guidance does not determine the legal effect of a private license.
Why a valid license may not prevent an interruption
Having permission and having the channel allowlisted in Content ID are separate practical matters. YouTube says a licensed stream may still be interrupted if the owner has not added the channel to its allowlist. Ask the rights holder or authorized administrator to confirm the allowlist status for the relevant asset and channel, and keep that confirmation with the license. Its guidance says this matching requires global rights and exclusive ownership of the stream content; a match may warn the streamer, replace the stream with a static image without sound, and eventually terminate it. That live-matching condition is not the same thing as proving that a specific claimant owns all rights to an individual Punjabi track. YouTube’s live-stream matching guidance

Do not treat Creator Music as clearance for a live broadcast
YouTube says Creator Music currently does not support licensing for live content. A Creator Music license therefore is not a route to clearing music for a 24/7 live broadcast. Check the license terms and permitted uses for any music source you rely on. YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ
What Content ID eligibility does—and does not—tell you
YouTube requires Content ID reference owners to have exclusive rights in the territories where they claim ownership, and the reference content must be distinct. YouTube lists mashups, compilations, continuous DJ mixes, and non-exclusive licensed content among examples of material that cannot be used as Content ID references. These rules concern reference eligibility; they do not answer whether a streamer has permission to use a track or whether a particular claimant has authority over it. Keep a permitted stream online without leaving a computer running
Once the music rights and YouTube permissions are in order, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping an uploaded-video YouTube stream running: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It can loop uploaded videos without a computer, OBS, or home connection staying on, and it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. StreamNeo does not identify music rights, provide a music license, or make an unauthorized stream lawful; settle rights and ask for allowlisting where needed before using any streaming setup.
Every StreamNeo slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, support, and streaming at the quality uploaded up to 4K 60fps with no re-encode or quality tiers.
