Yes—cassette players are still made. FiiO currently lists the CP13, a portable stereo cassette player, though that does not mean Sony has restarted the Walkman line or that new players are widely available everywhere. Check local stock before buying.
What a new cassette player offers today
FiiO’s CP13 is a current, named example. Its official product page specifies two-track stereo playback, support for Type I through Type IV tapes, a rechargeable battery and a 3.5 mm headphone output. FiiO says headphones are not included. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. FiiO CP13 product page
The CP13 is playback-only: FiiO’s FAQ says it has no recording function. That distinction matters if you want to make mixtapes or record audio, rather than simply play existing cassettes. FiiO CP13 FAQ

How the cassette Walkman changed portable listening
The Compact Cassette was developed by Philips, which made its license broadly available on the condition that manufacturers maintain compatibility. Sony entered the format in 1966 with the TC-100, its first Compact Cassette recorder, according to the company’s corporate history. Sony’s corporate history of the Walkman
The Walkman grew from a practical request: Sony co-founder Masaru Ibuka wanted to listen to stereo music on an airplane. A monaural tape recorder was converted to stereo, and Sony developed the idea into a portable stereo cassette player for listening while walking. Sony dates the original Walkman milestone to 1979.
