The REDMI Turbo 5 is the stronger specification fit if you want a larger battery and higher-rated wired charging; the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini is smaller and lighter, adds a dedicated telephoto camera, and offers a 512GB storage option. The price comparison needs care: OPPO’s India prices below are launch prices from January 2026, while Xiaomi’s ₹41,999 figure was a changeable listing price captured in 2026—not a like-for-like live-price comparison.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications for Indian-market models, not results from a shared performance, camera, charging-time, or battery-endurance test. In particular, camera resolution and camera count do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Price difference in India

Do not subtract Xiaomi’s captured listing figure from OPPO’s launch prices and call the result the current price difference: the figures are from different price contexts, and the OPPO configurations have different storage. For a purchase-day comparison, check current offers for the exact RAM/storage versions, along with seller, local warranty, and any bank or exchange discounts. Xiaomi’s product page lists 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB; the cited India launch announcement lists OPPO’s 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB prices.

Battery and charging: REDMI has the larger rated capacity
Xiaomi lists a 7,540mAh typical silicon-carbon battery, charging up to 100W by wire and reverse wired charging up to 27W. OPPO lists 6,200mAh typical and 6,035mAh rated capacity, with up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. On the specifications alone, REDMI offers more battery capacity and a higher maximum wired-charging rating.

Those figures do not establish real-world screen time or how long either phone takes to charge. OPPO’s listed maximum is for SUPERVOOC; check its compatibility notes if using another charging standard. Xiaomi lists a 100W power adapter in the REDMI package, but package contents can vary by region or version, so verify the box for the unit being sold.
Display and size: bigger screen or more compact body?
The REDMI’s 6.59-inch panel is larger and has a higher listed pixel resolution than OPPO’s approximately 6.32-inch panel. Both are AMOLED screens with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Xiaomi also specifies a peak brightness of 3,500 nits at 25% APL; this is a manufacturer figure under that stated condition, not a claim about brightness across the entire screen in every situation.

OPPO’s listed dimensions and weight make it the more compact, lighter option on paper: about 187–188g versus REDMI’s 204g. OPPO notes that dimensions and weight can vary with configuration and manufacturing or measurement; its thickness is listed as about 8.0–8.1mm. Xiaomi lists REDMI at 8.18mm.
Camera hardware: telephoto flexibility versus a simpler rear setup
OPPO provides three rear cameras: a 200MP OIS main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide. That gives it a dedicated telephoto camera in addition to the main and ultrawide views. REDMI lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide, without a listed telephoto camera. Their front cameras are 50MP on OPPO and 20MP on REDMI.

Both manufacturers list rear 4K video at 60fps, although OPPO also lists 30fps. These specifications describe hardware and supported recording modes; they are not evidence of comparative photo or video quality.

The phones use different MediaTek processors: Dimensity 8500-Ultra in REDMI Turbo 5 and Dimensity 8450 in Reno15 Pro Mini. Xiaomi specifies a 4nm process and up to 3.4GHz for its processor, plus Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. The specification information available here does not establish a controlled performance winner, so do not treat the chipset names alone as a benchmark result.

Storage may be the more practical distinction. REDMI’s listed Indian configurations pair either 8GB or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, while OPPO offers 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB. OPPO says memory cards are unsupported. Xiaomi lists UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X Ultra RAM for the 12GB REDMI configuration; OPPO lists UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM.

The cited OPPO specification page does not state a software-support commitment, so an equivalent OPPO duration is not established here.
Which phone makes more sense for you?
- Choose REDMI Turbo 5 as the one to investigate first if the larger listed battery, higher rated wired charging, larger display, included 100W adapter, or Xiaomi’s stated software-support policy matters most. The product page also lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
- Choose Reno15 Pro Mini as the one to investigate first if a smaller, lighter body, a dedicated telephoto camera, a 50MP ultrawide, or a 512GB storage option is more important to you.
- Compare live offers before deciding if price is the deciding factor. Match the storage configuration and confirm the seller and warranty rather than treating a past launch price and a captured listing price as simultaneous quotes.
These are specification-based trade-offs for the India models. Before buying, confirm the precise model, configuration, current price, warranty, and package contents with the seller; Xiaomi says specifications and package details may change by sales region or version.
