The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is the larger-screen option, with a 200MP main camera and 100W wired charging. The India-market OPPO Reno16 5G (model CPH2865) is more compact and adds a dedicated 3.5x optical-zoom camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. OPPO’s published price is higher, but the available Redmi and OPPO prices come from different sources and dates, so they are not a like-for-like live quote.

How the displays differ
The Redmi has the larger panel: 6.83 inches versus 6.32 inches on the Reno16. Its listed resolution is 2772×1280, while OPPO lists 2640×1216 for the Reno16. Both are AMOLED screens with refresh rates up to 120Hz, so the clearest published distinction is size: the Redmi gives more screen area, while the Reno16 takes a more compact approach.

Xiaomi also lists HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 12-bit color, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a claimed peak brightness of 3200 nits and HBM brightness of 1800 nits. Those are Xiaomi’s specifications and claims; they do not establish that the Redmi display will look better in every setting.
Which phone has the more useful cameras?
Redmi: high-resolution main camera
Xiaomi specifies a 200MP f/1.7 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 1/1.4-inch sensor, alongside an 8MP ultrawide. Rear video is listed up to 4K at 30fps. The 200MP figure describes resolution, not a guarantee of better photos than the Reno16.
Reno16: dedicated zoom and three 50MP rear cameras
The Reno16 pairs a 50MP wide camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide with a 116-degree field of view. Its third rear camera is a 50MP telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom, giving it a dedicated longer focal length that the Redmi’s listed rear-camera set does not have. OPPO lists rear video up to 4K at 60fps.

For selfies, OPPO lists a 50MP autofocus front camera; Xiaomi lists a 32MP front camera. Resolution and hardware alone cannot establish which phone produces better images. Sensor characteristics, lenses, image processing and the scene all matter, and the specifications do not substitute for comparable photo samples.
Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 100W wired charging, with a charger included in the box. OPPO lists 6700mAh typical capacity (6490mAh rated) and charging up to 80W SUPERVOOC. In other words, OPPO publishes the larger capacity figure, while Xiaomi publishes the higher wired-charging wattage.
These numbers do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use or how quickly either one charges from a particular starting level. Actual results depend on usage, conditions and charging equipment; no comparable real-world test is established here.

Performance, storage and connectivity
The Redmi uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while the Reno16 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Chipset names alone are not enough to declare a winner in everyday speed, gaming or sustained performance. The available specifications do not establish a controlled, directly comparable performance result.
Storage may be a practical deciding factor. Xiaomi lists a 12GB+512GB Redmi configuration as well as 256GB options. OPPO lists the Reno16 with 256GB storage in either an 8GB or 12GB RAM configuration, and states that a memory card is unsupported. Neither cited listing establishes removable-storage expansion for these models.
Connectivity differs in several ways. Xiaomi lists Wi-Fi 6/6E and NFC, and supports either two nano-SIMs or a nano-SIM with eSIM; Xiaomi cautions that eSIM availability depends on country, carrier and service plan. OPPO lists Wi-Fi 6 and dual Nano-SIM, with no eSIM and no NFC for the India CPH2865 model.

Water and dust resistance: what the IP ratings mean
Both India specification pages list IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. Xiaomi explicitly says its ratings are based on specific laboratory conditions and that resistance is not assured outside those conditions or after wear, damage or disassembly. An IP rating is not a reason to take either phone swimming or expose it to beach conditions; the listed ratings do not establish safety in every real-world water or dust scenario.

The available figures do not provide a same-day official price comparison for both phones. OPPO’s India Store page stated prices as of 31 August 2026 and said they were subject to change. Separately, 91mobiles displayed Amazon listing prices in its 2026 comparison-page snapshot; those retailer figures are not guaranteed to be current or to match checkout prices.

The two displayed 91mobiles Amazon figures differ by ₹27,509, but they are not a verified same-day official quote for matching configurations. Check current listings, memory configuration, seller, stock and checkout total before treating that difference as what you would pay. OPPO’s Store page also gives a different dated price from its earlier launch announcement, illustrating why a dated price should not be presented as timeless.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi for its listed strengths if you want the larger 6.83-inch screen, a 200MP main-camera specification, 100W wired charging, or the option of up to 512GB internal storage.
- Consider the Reno16 for its listed strengths if you want a smaller 6.32-inch handset, a dedicated 3.5x optical-zoom camera, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP autofocus front camera, or the larger stated typical battery capacity.
- Check current prices before deciding. The available price snapshots differ in source and timing, and the published OPPO Store figures apply to specified configurations and a stated date.
Neither set of specifications proves an overall camera, speed or battery-life winner. The more useful choice depends on which hardware differences matter to you and the price of the exact configuration available when you buy.
