The Redmi Note 13 and HMD Crest Max have similar battery and charging specifications, but their strengths differ: the Redmi’s cited standard-model specs emphasize a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and 108MP rear camera, while HMD highlights the Crest Max’s 50MP selfie camera, 5G support, and 8GB/256GB configuration. There is no reliable universal price winner: the right comparison depends on your country and the exact Redmi variant.

Which Redmi Note 13 model are you comparing?

“Redmi Note 13” does not identify one universal configuration. Xiaomi’s Mexico specifications describe a standard 4G model with Snapdragon 685. Xiaomi’s UK page for the Redmi Note 13 5G describes a different phone with Dimensity 6080 and 5G bands. Confirm the full model name and the version sold in your country before comparing network support, chipset, price or compatibility.

The Crest Max’s listed 5G bands are n1, n3, n40, n28 and n78. A 5G label alone does not guarantee service: your carrier must use compatible bands in your location, and the phone must be supported on that network.

Display: Redmi’s refresh rate is a clear differentiator

Xiaomi lists the standard Redmi Note 13 with a 6.67-inch, 120Hz AMOLED panel at 2400 × 1080. Its global product page also gives a peak brightness figure of 1800 nits. HMD’s detailed Crest Max specification page lists a 6.56-inch rigid OLED FHD+ panel, while HMD’s overview page says 6.67 inches. Because HMD’s own pages conflict on screen size, treat 6.56 inches as the detailed-spec figure rather than a universally consistent claim.

The Redmi has the documented 120Hz refresh-rate figure; the cited Crest Max specs do not state a refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother, but the specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

Cameras: rear resolution versus selfie resolution

The Redmi’s listed rear cameras are 108MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro; its cited standard-model front camera is 16MP. Crest Max lists a 64MP main, 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro rear system, plus a 50MP front camera. These figures describe sensor resolution, not comparative photo quality. They do not establish low-light performance, color, focus reliability, video quality or how consistently each phone processes images.

If selfies are a priority, the Crest Max’s 50MP front-camera specification is the more prominent feature on paper. If you care more about the headline resolution of the main rear camera, the Redmi lists 108MP. Do not choose solely on those megapixel counts without considering the kinds of photos you take.

Battery and charging: similar stated capacity

Both phones list 5000mAh batteries and 33W charging support. HMD additionally claims up to 44 hours of battery life for the Crest Max, but this is a manufacturer claim and should not be read as a head-to-head result against the Redmi. Battery life in practice also depends on signal strength, screen use, settings and workload.

HMD says its battery has been tested to maintain at least 80% of its original capacity after 800 full charging cycles. This is HMD Global’s own statement, not independent verification. Xiaomi’s cited global page describes 33W charging; the charger is included in some regional packages, so check the box contents for the exact local model.

Software support and practical features

HMD lists Android 14 and two years of quarterly security updates from the Crest Max’s global launch. The remaining support period therefore depends on when the device launched and when you buy it; check HMD’s current support information for your purchase date. The cited Xiaomi product pages list practical hardware features including a 3.5mm jack, IR blaster and under-display fingerprint sensor. NFC availability varies by market.

For durability, Xiaomi lists IP54 protection and cautions that the phone is not for immersion; it also says protection can decline with wear. HMD lists IP52. These ratings are not permission to expose either phone to water beyond its stated protection.

Redmi Note 13 vs Crest Max price: compare within one market

There is no defensible universal price difference in the available regional listings. HMD’s UAE page showed AED 849 and listed Amazon and local retailers. HMD’s India page showed ₹16,499 against a ₹22,499 MRP and an out-of-stock status. Those are country-specific page states, not like-for-like global prices. The Xiaomi specification pages cited here do not provide a matching current retail price for the same market and configuration.

To determine which is cheaper for you, compare current prices in the same country, on the same date, for the exact Redmi variant and storage configuration against the Crest Max configuration you can actually buy. Include any relevant differences in warranty, included charger and local availability.

Which phone should you choose?

Consider the standard Redmi Note 13 if

  • You want the cited 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a specified 120Hz refresh rate.
  • You value a 108MP main-camera specification, an IR blaster or an under-display fingerprint reader.
  • The standard model’s local 4G configuration suits your network needs, or you have confirmed that the specific 5G variant is the one being sold.

Consider the HMD Crest Max if

  • You prioritize its listed 50MP front camera.
  • The stated 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration suits you, and microSD expansion up to 256GB is useful.
  • Its 5G bands work with your carrier and HMD’s stated update policy fits your remaining support needs.

Neither specification sheet settles which phone takes better photos, lasts longer in real-world use or feels faster in your apps. Those outcomes require comparable testing that is not established by the cited product specifications.
