First identify where they are missing: if you cannot select a product in YouTube Studio, check channel eligibility and product approval; if it is tagged but viewers cannot see it, check that the tag is attached to this livestream, the stream’s restrictions, and the viewer’s device and location.
Start by locating where the product disappears
There are two different problems: a product is unavailable in the YouTube Studio product picker, or a tagged product is missing from the public watch page. The first points toward channel eligibility, the store or affiliate workflow, or product approval. The second points toward stream-level tagging, content restrictions, or differences in where and how a viewer is watching.
- Missing in Studio: check whether the channel is eligible for the relevant Shopping feature and whether the item has passed review.
- Missing for viewers: confirm the item is tagged on this particular livestream, then check the stream and viewer conditions below.
- Missing only for some viewers: compare their country and device with those of viewers who can see the product.
The title alone cannot establish which cause applies. Note the item’s status, whether it was added to this livestream, and the affected viewer’s country and device before changing settings.
Confirm the products are tagged on this livestream
A connected store, a product on your channel’s store, or a tag on another video does not automatically tag that item on a livestream. YouTube supports tagging before, during, and after a live stream; the tagged-product order determines the order viewers see, and a creator can pin one item. YouTube Help pages describe different livestream tagging limits: the Android instructions say up to 60 products, while the computer product-management guidance says up to 30. Check the right Shopping eligibility and store workflow
Your own-store products and products from other brands are separate routes, with different eligibility and setup requirements.

Other brands’ products
Tagging products from other brands uses YouTube’s Shopping affiliate program, with its own requirements, including YouTube Partner Program membership, a subscriber threshold, supported locations, and channel or content exclusions. Location lists can differ between YouTube’s general setup guidance and its affiliate-program overview, so verify eligibility in YouTube Studio for your channel rather than assuming a country list for one feature applies to another. Inspect product approval and merchant account status
Connected-store products undergo review by Google Merchant Center and YouTube. A product must be approved by both to display in YouTube Studio. In Studio, go to Earn → Shopping and inspect the Organize or status card. YouTube says review typically takes a few business days; if a particular item is missing from the Organize panel, it directs creators to contact their merch retailer or platform. Check for account or product policy issues in the connected merchant platform as well as Studio. Google Merchant Center warns that changes to a data source or account in the 72 hours before a livestream may lead to disapproval and make a product untaggable. That is a product-approval risk, not the same issue as delayed visibility of a tag change to viewers. Google Merchant Center livestream guidance

Check whether YouTube or viewer conditions hide Shopping
A product can be approved and tagged yet still not display in some circumstances. YouTube identifies these stream or content conditions:
- The video is marked Made for Kids.
- The video has a copyright claim, contains claimed content, or is associated with an Official Artist Channel or music partner.
- The content is paid, blocked for ads, or limited or ineligible for monetization.
- The stream has Ticketing or Donations, or uses a Creator Music revenue-sharing track.
- There are no approved items available to tag.
Check the stream’s audience, copyright, and monetization status in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s product-management guidance also notes that Shopping does not show to viewers watching on mobile browsers, smart TVs, or game consoles. A viewer unable to see a product on one of those devices does not establish that the product is missing for everyone. Live tagging conditions · Product display conditions

For your own-store products, YouTube shows tagged products in places where the item can be delivered to the viewer. If a viewer sees a “Shipping Areas Limited” notice, the merchant has not targeted that country in Google Merchant Center. Compare the affected viewer’s country with a viewer who can see the product, and review the merchant’s shipping targets. YouTube product availability guidance

Make live changes early, and separate the two timing issues
YouTube warns that product changes made during a livestream may not be visible to some viewers who are already watching. For the best viewer experience, finish tagging, removing, or rearranging products at least 30 minutes before going live. Separately, Google Merchant Center warns that data-source or account changes in the 72 hours before a stream may cause disapproval. The 30-minute advice concerns propagation of live tagging changes; the 72-hour warning concerns product approval after merchant changes. Use this troubleshooting order
- Check the location of the failure: note whether the item is absent from Studio’s picker or only from the watch page.
- Check the stream’s tags: confirm the item is attached to this specific livestream, and inspect its order or pinned status.
- Check the channel route: verify own-store Shopping eligibility and store connection, or affiliate-program eligibility for other brands.
- Check the item status: inspect YouTube Studio → Earn → Shopping → Organize and resolve any product or merchant account issue.
- Check stream restrictions: review audience, copyright, and monetization status, plus any relevant Ticketing, Donations, or Creator Music conditions.
- Check the viewer’s context: compare device and country, and whether shipping is available there.
- Account for timing: allow live tag changes to reach existing viewers, and avoid last-minute merchant catalog or account changes that may trigger review.
Does a 24/7 schedule cause missing products?
YouTube’s cited Shopping guidance identifies tagging, eligibility, approval, content restrictions, device, and viewer location as relevant conditions; it does not identify continuous stream duration itself as a reason products disappear. Diagnose the specific stream and viewer conditions rather than treating 24/7 operation as the cause.
