Google Workspace can manage supported Android tablets and iPads, but eligibility is not determined by the word “tablet” or an operating-system version alone. For Android, Google requires Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later and support for work profiles. For iPads, Google documents enrollment workflows whose availability depends on the iOS version and the administrator’s settings. Confirm the exact model and the organization’s management setup before buying.
What “managed through Google Workspace” can mean
Management is not the same as being able to open Gmail or sign in to a Workspace account. Google supports basic mobile management for Android devices, iPhones, and iPads, while advanced management can enforce more policies and manage apps. The controls available depend on how the device is enrolled, the administrator’s settings, company-owned inventory status, and the user’s Workspace license. See Google’s mobile management overview.
- Workspace access: The user can sign in and use work services. That alone does not establish that the organization can enforce every device policy.
- Basic mobile management: Provides a more limited set of controls for supported mobile devices.
- Advanced mobile management: Requires the management client to enforce advanced policies. For personal Android devices, Google requires a work profile.
Administrators configure mobile management for users, with options to apply settings by device type; it is not simply a capability switched on for an arbitrary tablet independently of its user account.
Android tablets: check the OS and work-profile support
Google’s Android Device Policy requirements specify Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later and work-profile support. Google explicitly says devices without work-profile support are not supported. These are platform requirements, not certification of every tablet that runs a qualifying Android version. Check Google’s Android Device Policy requirements and the precise tablet model’s specifications.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
For a personal Android tablet under advanced management, the work profile separates work apps and data from the personal side of the device. A tablet that meets the Android version requirement but cannot create a work profile does not meet Google’s stated support requirement for Android Device Policy.
iPads: enrollment method depends on iOS
Google documents iPads as supported mobile devices and provides Workspace setup workflows for iOS. The enrollment route matters: Google says profile-driven enrollment is unavailable on iOS 18 and later, while account-driven enrollment is documented. Consult Google’s iOS device setup instructions and have the administrator confirm the method supported by the organization.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
iOS enrollment also affects privacy and administrator control. With user enrollment, work data and apps are separated from personal data and the administrator controls work apps and data. With device enrollment, the administrator can control both work and personal apps and data. The distinction can affect what an organization can manage or wipe; check Google’s iOS management information before enrolling a personal iPad.
ChromeOS tablets and detachable devices
ChromeOS device management is a separate path from managing the Chrome browser on Android or iPhone and iPad. Google’s ChromeOS guidance discusses managed ChromeOS devices such as Chromebooks, Chromeboxes, and Chromebits; it does not establish support for a particular tablet model. See Google’s ChromeOS device management overview.

Compare the tablet options before buying
| Platform | What Google’s documentation establishes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Android tablet | Android Device Policy requires Android 6.0 or later and work-profile support (Google requirements). | Exact model’s Android version and work-profile support; the organization’s enrollment method and management level. |
| iPad | Google documents iOS setup and basic mobile management support. Profile-driven enrollment is unavailable on iOS 18 and later; account-driven enrollment is documented (Google iOS setup). | Current iOS support and which enrollment path the administrator permits. |
| ChromeOS tablet or detachable | Google documents ChromeOS device management separately from Chrome browser management (Google ChromeOS guidance). | Whether the exact device is supported and whether the organization has ChromeOS management configured. |
Google’s reviewed guidance does not provide a current model-by-model compatibility list for Android tablets or identify a specific ChromeOS tablet as compatible. A platform-level requirement is a screening check, not a guarantee for a named product.

Checklist for confirming a specific tablet
- Identify the exact model and operating-system version. Do not rely on a product family name or an outdated listing.
- For Android, confirm work-profile support. Ask the manufacturer or seller about the specific model, then confirm that it meets Google’s Android Device Policy requirements.
- For iPad, confirm the enrollment route. Ask whether the organization supports account-driven enrollment for the iPad’s iOS version; do not assume profile-driven enrollment is available on iOS 18 or later.
- Ask the administrator what “managed” means for your account. Confirm basic or advanced mobile management, the required management client, and whether the intended use is personal or company-owned.
- Check the organization’s Workspace license and settings. Available controls depend on the user’s license and administrator configuration.
- For ChromeOS, confirm device-management eligibility separately. A managed Chrome browser is not equivalent to managed ChromeOS hardware.
What Google’s documentation does and does not establish
Google’s support material establishes platform requirements and enrollment paths, but it does not certify all tablets within a platform or supply a current Android tablet model list. No brand or model ranking follows from these requirements. The Android 6.0 minimum is stated in Google’s documentation; the page reviewed does not state a publication date.
