It also supports custom RTMP destinations, which can connect to other services when they provide an RTMP ingest URL and stream key. Those are separate setup paths: custom RTMP is not the same as a native integration.
Talk Studio’s native streaming platforms
Streamlabs’ current Talk Studio product page names these native destinations:
- YouTube
- X (Twitter)
- Twitch
- Kick
A Streamlabs support article updated in 2025 lists YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Twitter, and LinkedIn, but predates the current product page’s inclusion of Kick and uses the older Twitter name. For the present native list, the product page is the more current-facing source.
What custom RTMP adds
Talk Studio can send a stream to a custom RTMP destination if the service you want to use supplies an RTMP ingest or server URL and a stream key. In Talk Studio, you enter those details to create a destination; this is a manual connection, not a native integration. Streamlabs’ custom RTMP guide gives Instagram and Rumble as examples.

Instagram support is conditional. Streamlabs says some users may need a third-party service to provide a dedicated RTMP URL and stream key, and Instagram’s LIVE/RTMP settings are not available to every account. Its guidance also recommends portrait mode for an Instagram custom RTMP destination. Check that your account or provider actually offers the necessary connection details before planning a stream.
How to add a destination and select it for a stream
- Open the profile or account menu in Talk Studio and go to Account Settings > Destinations.
- Select Add Destination, choose a listed native platform, and follow the sign-in and authorization prompts. To connect a service through RTMP, choose the custom destination option and enter the destination name, RTMP URL, and stream key supplied by that service.
- When you use Talk Studio’s Go Live flow, select the destination or destinations where you want the stream to appear.
Streamlabs’ destination setup guide describes this settings path. Its setup guide notes that your browser will request camera and microphone permissions; those permissions are for device setup, not evidence that a particular streaming destination is supported.

Account requirements and limits to check
Facebook Pages and Groups
For a Facebook Page, the profile you connect needs Page Access. To stream to a Group, you need to be an admin and install the Talk Studio (Streaming) app from the Group settings. Streamlabs’ troubleshooting guidance, last updated in 2025, says a Talk Studio stream can include up to 10 Facebook destinations. Check Facebook’s current access controls if the labels or permissions differ from those in the guide.
YouTube
Streamlabs’ support instructions say to verify the YouTube channel and first start a test live using YouTube Studio’s built-in webcam flow. They then specify a 24-hour wait after that initial live setup before using the channel in Talk Studio. This is procedural guidance in Streamlabs’ support material; YouTube’s interface or eligibility requirements may change, so follow the current YouTube Studio prompts if they differ.

Custom destinations
A custom RTMP connection works only when the destination service provides a usable ingest URL and stream key and allows your account to stream that way. For Instagram in particular, availability varies by account and may involve an additional RTMP provider. Do not assume that every service named as an RTMP example is natively integrated with Talk Studio.
