Samsung’s Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are confirmed to have ultrasonic on-screen fingerprint sensors. Samsung also documented ultrasonic fingerprint biometrics for the Galaxy S25 family in a US business specification sheet dated January 22, 2025. Because Samsung warns that specifications can vary by country, check the exact regional and carrier model before relying on a list or buying a phone.
Samsung phones confirmed with an on-screen fingerprint sensor
Samsung’s Korean support specifications, dated February 26, 2026, list an ultrasonic on-screen sensor for each of these Galaxy S26 models:
- Galaxy S26
- Galaxy S26+
- Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung announced the S26 family on February 25, 2026, but the announcement does not specify sensor placement. The model-level confirmation comes from Samsung’s Korean support specifications. Samsung notes that specifications may differ by release country, so verify the local product page and exact carrier SKU.
Galaxy S25 family: a prior-generation reference
Samsung Electronics America’s Galaxy S25 business specification sheet documents ultrasonic fingerprint biometrics for the S25 family. Its information was current as of January 22, 2025; treat it as a dated US reference, not a guarantee about every regional or carrier variant.

How to tell whether a Samsung fingerprint sensor is under the display
A product listing that only says “fingerprint sensor” does not establish where the sensor is located. For example, Samsung India’s Galaxy A26 5G specifications list a fingerprint sensor, but the cited specification does not say that it is under the display. That is not enough to include the A26 5G as a confirmed on-screen model.
- Identify the exact Galaxy model and generation, not just the family name.
- Open the official Samsung product or support page for your country and carrier variant.
- Look for explicit wording that identifies an on-screen or in-display sensor and, where stated, its type. A generic “fingerprint sensor” entry is inconclusive.
- If the regional listing does not say where the sensor is, do not assume it matches another country’s version.
What to compare before choosing one
Start with the exact model, then confirm its regional or carrier SKU and the biometric sensor type in official specifications. Samsung describes ultrasonic fingerprint-on-display as part of its smartphone technology portfolio in its company report, but that portfolio-level description is not a substitute for a model-specific specification.

This is a confirmed list, not an exhaustive global catalogue of every Samsung phone with an on-screen sensor. The evidence establishes the S26 models and a dated S25-family reference; it does not establish current availability for every country or carrier. For a market-specific answer, rely on that market’s official Samsung specification for the precise model.
