For a Samsung 50-inch TV, choose by the features you need—not by a supposed first-to-fifth ranking. Samsung’s US lineup includes two Neo QLED models and three QLED options across the 2025 and 2026 model years. The Neo QLED choices are the feature-focused tiers; among the QLED models, the Q8F is the one Samsung lists with 144Hz Motion Xcelerator, subject to PC gaming requirements. Check the exact model code, specifications, price, and stock before ordering.
Samsung 50-inch TV models at a glance
This US-focused comparison covers five models listed on Samsung’s US site. The feature descriptions below are Samsung’s claims, not independent measurements of picture quality. Model codes help distinguish listings that may otherwise look similar.

What separates Neo QLED from QLED here?
Samsung places the QN90F and QN70H in its Neo QLED range and the Q8F, Q7F, and QEF1 in its QLED range. The QN70H page highlights Quantum Mini LED, while the QN90F page lists Neo Quantum HDR+. These are useful tier distinctions, but they do not establish how bright, contrast-rich, or accurate one screen looks against another in a room. For that, these specifications alone are not a substitute for comparative measurements.
Which model fits your priorities?
For the most feature-rich listed tier
Compare the QN90F and QN70H if you want a Neo QLED model. The QN90F page lists Glare Free, Neo Quantum HDR+, and motion support up to 165Hz. The newer QN70H is identified as a 2026 model and highlights Quantum Mini LED and an NQ4 AI processor. The available information does not establish which delivers better measured picture quality, and the QN70H listing did not show a reliable price.

For PC gaming at a high refresh rate
The Q8F is the QLED option in this set with a stated 144Hz feature. Samsung qualifies 4K 144Hz for PC-connected games that support it and requires a suitable PC graphics card. Do not assume a console, TV broadcast, streaming app, or any game automatically supplies a 4K 144Hz signal.
For a straightforward QLED option
Compare the Q7F and QEF1 if the 60Hz tier comparison matches your needs. Samsung lists a Solar Cell Remote for the Q7F and a basic IR remote for the online-exclusive QEF1. Those details distinguish the listed configurations, but confirm the precise 50-inch SKU specification before buying.

What to verify before you buy
- Match the full model code. Compare the code on the retailer listing with the exact Samsung US model you intend to buy: QN50QN90FAFXZA, QN50QN70HAFXZA, QN50Q8FAAFXZA, QN50Q7FAAFXZA, or QN50QEF1AFXZA. Similar names or different suffixes can indicate another configuration or regional version.
- Check current price and stock. Inventory observed on Samsung’s site can change and may differ by seller or location. Compare same-day listings for the exact code; the information here does not establish a stable price ranking or best-value winner.
- Confirm the gaming connection and signal. If refresh rate matters, check the exact 50-inch specification table and the source-device, game, graphics hardware, and HDMI requirements. Samsung’s 144Hz Q8F qualification is specifically for supported PC gaming.
- Measure your installation space. A 50-inch screen class does not determine the TV’s full width, stand footprint, weight, or mounting pattern. Check the exact model’s dimensions and VESA details. For a wall mount, also verify load rating and wall construction.
- Use local specifications for local models. Samsung Australia’s 2026 U8000H sheet lists a separate 50-inch model with 3840 × 2160 resolution and 50Hz refresh rate. That regional specification should not be transferred to any of the US models above. Samsung Australia U8000H specifications
How to make the choice
Start with your main requirement: Neo QLED tier, PC gaming refresh rate, or a QLED model with the listed 60Hz tier. Narrow the choice to the matching model, then verify the full code and exact 50-inch specification. Only after that compare live price, stock, dimensions, ports, warranty, and installation fit. The available manufacturer information supports a feature-based shortlist, not a tested performance ranking.
