In 91mobiles’ device-test comparison, the Snapdragon 778G scores higher overall than the Dimensity 7025 Ultra in AnTuTu and in both Geekbench CPU tests. That is a result from the devices tested by 91mobiles, not a guarantee that every phone using the 778G will outperform every 7025 Ultra phone. For a purchase, compare the complete handset, including its price, memory, cooling, battery, display, and software support.
What are the main specification differences?
Both chips are listed as 6 nm, but that specification alone does not establish that they use the same amount of power or deliver the same battery life. Qualcomm identifies the Snapdragon 778G’s CPU as Kryo 670, with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz. MediaTek’s official specifications describe the base Dimensity 7025—not specifically the Ultra-branded version—as having Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz and Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz. For the Ultra’s core arrangement, 91mobiles lists two A78 cores and six A55 cores.
| Specification | Snapdragon 778G | Dimensity 7025 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 6 nm, according to Qualcomm | 6 nm, according to 91mobiles; MediaTek also describes the base Dimensity 7025 as a 6 nm chipset |
| CPU | Kryo 670 up to 2.4 GHz, according to Qualcomm. 91mobiles describes one 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78-based prime core, three 2.2 GHz Cortex-A78-based cores, and four 1.9 GHz Cortex-A55-based cores. | 91mobiles lists two Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz. MediaTek’s official specifications for the base Dimensity 7025 list those core types and maximum frequencies, but do not identify that page as an Ultra specification. |
| Graphics | Adreno 642L | IMG BXM-8-256, according to 91mobiles and MediaTek’s base Dimensity 7025 specifications |
| Memory support | LPDDR5, according to 91mobiles | LPDDR5, according to 91mobiles’ Ultra comparison. MediaTek lists LPDDR5 and LPDDR4X support for the base Dimensity 7025. |
| Connectivity and platform features | Qualcomm lists a Snapdragon X53 5G modem-RF, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Quick Charge 4+, Hexagon 770 AI processor, and Spectra 570L ISP. | MediaTek lists 5G carrier aggregation, dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, display support up to 120 Hz with HDR10+, and camera ISP support up to 200 MP for the base Dimensity 7025. |
These are platform capabilities, not a promise that a particular phone implements every feature. Phone manufacturers choose the actual memory configuration and other components. The base Dimensity 7025 specification page and the 7025 Ultra listing are related references, but MediaTek’s base-chip page should not be treated as a complete Ultra-specific specification sheet. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G specifications, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025 specifications, and 91mobiles’ Dimensity 7025 Ultra listing identify the respective details.

In 91mobiles’ comparison page figures accessed in 2026, the Snapdragon 778G leads the listed total AnTuTu score and both Geekbench CPU scores. The same source attributes the figures to its device testing. Benchmark results depend on the tested phones and conditions, so they indicate a direction in that comparison rather than a universal ranking of every handset.

| 91mobiles test (page accessed 2026) | Snapdragon 778G | Dimensity 7025 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 587,520 | 486,435 |
| AnTuTu CPU | 204,740 | 162,694 |
| AnTuTu GPU | 138,179 | 78,302 |
| AnTuTu memory | 129,747 | 108,849 |
| AnTuTu UX | 114,854 | 136,590 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,022 | 950 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,957 | 2,276 |
The 778G also leads the reported AnTuTu CPU and GPU sub-scores, while the 7025 Ultra has the higher UX sub-score in this comparison. AnTuTu combines results from different performance areas; a total score does not directly predict how a specific app feels or how a phone performs under a long workload. 91mobiles’ comparison provides the listed test figures.
A separate NanoReview comparison is for the base Dimensity 7025, not explicitly the Ultra. Its page, accessed in 2026, reports AnTuTu 11 averages of 783,606 for the 778G from 113 samples and 668,462 for the base 7025 from 30 samples. It reports Geekbench 6 single-core averages of 1,017 and 969, respectively, from 68 and 10 samples, and multi-core averages of 2,943 and 2,321 from those same sample counts. These figures use different benchmark versions and a different Dimensity variant from the 91mobiles comparison; they should not be merged into one direct score table.
Is the Snapdragon 778G better for gaming?
The available comparison favors the 778G in its reported AnTuTu GPU score, and the two chips use different graphics processors: Adreno 642L in the 778G and IMG BXM-8-256 in the 7025 Ultra, as listed by 91mobiles. That does not establish which phone delivers better gaming in practice. Game optimization, graphics settings, drivers, cooling, software, and the exact handset can change performance.

The cited sources do not provide a controlled, matched-phone comparison of sustained gaming or frame rates for these exact variants. Choose based on tests of the specific phone models and the games and settings you care about; do not infer a guaranteed frame-rate advantage from a benchmark score or GPU name.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which chipset is better for everyday use and battery life?
The 91mobiles results give the 778G higher CPU benchmark scores, but they do not establish that every 778G phone will feel faster in ordinary use. Both chips can support everyday tasks; actual responsiveness depends on the handset’s software, memory, storage, and workload. The 7025 Ultra’s higher UX score in that source’s AnTuTu results is one sub-score, not a complete measure of daily experience.
Rank #2
No controlled battery-life comparison between matched phones using these two chips is established by the cited sources. Battery capacity, display, network conditions, software, charging behavior, and device tuning all affect endurance. The shared 6 nm process label is not enough to declare a battery-life winner.
What phones use these processors?
91mobiles lists the following examples. Availability and exact variants can differ by country, so confirm the chipset in the precise model listing before buying.
- Dimensity 7025 Ultra examples: POCO M7 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G.
- Snapdragon 778G examples: vivo V29, Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, and Samsung Galaxy M52 5G.
These examples are not a matched handset comparison and do not establish current regional availability, price, or whether a listing is new, refurbished, or used. Check the exact product variant and condition.
How should you choose between phones with these chips?
Use chipset scores as one input, then compare the actual models you can buy. A practical shortlist should check:
- Benchmark versions and results for the exact phone, rather than combining scores from different test versions or chip variants.
- Gaming performance in the games and graphics settings you use, including sustained performance after the phone heats up.
- Memory and storage configuration, display quality, camera hardware and processing, battery capacity, and charging.
- Software support, regional network-band compatibility, phone condition, and current price.
Qualcomm’s product page advertises “up to a 40% performance uplift” for the Kryo 670 CPU and “up to 40% faster graphics rendering” for the Adreno 642L GPU. Those are Qualcomm’s qualified vendor claims, not independent head-to-head results against the Dimensity 7025 Ultra. MediaTek’s statement that the base Dimensity 7025 accelerates apps and games is likewise product-page language, not a comparative test.
