For most newcomers playing on PS5, the best single purchase is KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III]: it bundles 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. If you want to start with the earliest games or spend less upfront, choose 1.5+2.5 ReMIX instead. The right choice for existing owners depends on which collections you already have and whether you qualify for Square Enix’s digital-owner discount.
Which Kingdom Hearts collection should you buy?
Choose KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III] if you want all three collections covered here in one PS5 bundle. Square Enix lists it for PlayStation 5, with an announced release date of October 8, 2026. As of October 7, 2026, the PlayStation Store pages still showed it as a preorder. Square Enix’s collection information and the PlayStation Store listing provide the product details.
Pick 1.5+2.5 ReMIX if you want to begin with the earliest portion of the series or make a smaller first purchase. Buy 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue on its own if you specifically want its three pre-KHIII components. If you already own some of these games, check the bundle contents and your account’s discount eligibility before buying; a larger bundle may duplicate content you have.

Square Enix describes 1.5+2.5 as an “essential collection of the first six stories,” but two of its six entries are HD cutscene compilations, not playable games. Can existing owners get a discount?
Square Enix says eligible owners of digital PS4 collections can receive 50% off the corresponding new digital PS5 collection. Owners of the digital INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE can receive 50% off the complete new bundle. The publisher says the offer applies to digital preorders and post-launch purchases. Eligibility and the final price depend on the PlayStation account and region, so verify the offer in your account before completing checkout. Square Enix’s offer details describe the stated eligibility.
The PlayStation Store also warns that this content is included in other bundles. Compare what you own with the contents above before purchasing to avoid paying twice for the same games.

What should PS5 buyers know about timing and formats?
Square Enix announced October 8, 2026, as the PS5 release date. On October 7, PlayStation listings described the bundle as a preorder and said orders placed by 11:59 PM on October 7 would receive 48 hours of early access. Those are launch-period terms, not a standing benefit; check the current local listing for availability and conditions. Square Enix and the relevant PlayStation Store page carry the announcement and listing terms.
Square Enix lists a physical PlayStation purchase option, but Amazon stock and pricing are not established here. Check the retailer listing in your country if you prefer a disc copy. For digital buyers, the official regional store page is the direct place to confirm the edition, price, and any owner discount.

What if you use PS4 or cloud streaming?
The new Collection [I～III] is listed as a PS5 product. The Irish PlayStation page specifies offline play and one player; it also says cloud streaming for the collection’s three components requires PlayStation Plus Premium. These service and product details may differ by region and availability, so consult the applicable local page. PlayStation Store Ireland lists those details. If you still play on PS4, compare the legacy PS4 collections rather than assuming the new PS5 bundle runs on your console.
