Snapdragon 8 Elite leads the Exynos 2400 in the cited CPU and graphics benchmark comparisons. Those results come from different Galaxy phones, however, so they show how the tested devices performed—not a controlled, universal measure of the chips. The hardware differs in CPU design, graphics processor and manufacturing process, but your phone’s cooling, power settings and firmware also shape its speed.

How do the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite compare on paper?

The Exynos 2400 is a 10-core Samsung mobile system-on-chip. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is an eight-core Qualcomm platform. The specifications below are those listed by 91Mobiles; they describe the published configurations, not a guaranteed performance outcome in every phone.

Specification Exynos 2400 Snapdragon 8 Elite
CPU cores 10: one Cortex-X4, five Cortex-A720 and four Cortex-A520 8: two Oryon performance cores and six efficiency cores
Graphics Samsung Xclipse 940 Adreno 830
Process 4 nm 3 nm

Core counts and process labels alone do not establish how fast a particular phone will feel or how long it can sustain peak performance. Cooling design, power limits, memory configuration, firmware and workload matter as well. The 91Mobiles comparison does not establish every clock, memory, modem or regional-variant detail.

Which chip scores higher in the cited benchmarks?

Snapdragon 8 Elite phones scored higher in each cited comparison. The results are device-level measurements from different phones and test contexts, so they should not be read as a controlled chip-versus-chip test.

What Geekbench’s live Android listing showed

Geekbench’s Android database, accessed October 7, 2026, displayed a Galaxy S25+ with Snapdragon 8 Elite at 2,526 single-core and 8,702 multi-core, and a Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400 at 1,733 single-core and 6,045 multi-core. These are live database rankings that can change as submissions accrue, rather than a fixed controlled test. See Geekbench’s Android benchmark listing.

What do the benchmark types tell you?

  • Geekbench single-core: A useful indicator for short tasks that rely heavily on one CPU core, such as parts of app interaction. It does not predict every everyday task.
  • Geekbench multi-core: Shows performance when work can use several CPU cores at once. It is relevant to parallel workloads, but a short run does not establish sustained speed under heat.
  • AnTuTu total: Combines several aspects of device performance into one score. It is a broad device benchmark, not a CPU-only measure.
  • 3DMark Solar Bay Unlimited: Tests graphics performance; the cited result is reported in frames per second. A benchmark result does not by itself establish gaming performance over a long session.

For a fair comparison, use the same benchmark version and, if possible, tests on the same phone design or on closely matched devices. Keep the handset model beside each score and account for power mode, thermal state, memory and firmware. The cited comparisons do not establish sample counts or isolate the processor from the rest of each phone.

What does Qualcomm’s Galaxy S25 announcement establish?

Qualcomm announced in January 2025 that Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy powers the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra globally. Its announcement also names the X80 5G Modem-RF System and FastConnect 7800 for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. That confirms the stated Galaxy S25-series deployment and connectivity components; it does not provide a direct benchmark against Exynos 2400. Read Qualcomm’s January 2025 announcement.

  • Check the price, battery life, cameras, display, storage and software-support period of the actual phones.
  • Verify the processor in the specific regional model: chipset availability can vary by model and market.
  • If you play demanding games or run sustained workloads, look for testing of the same handset under extended use; short benchmark runs do not show how performance behaves as the phone heats up.
  • Use benchmark results as supporting evidence rather than as a stand-in for overall phone value.

Qualcomm’s announcement says Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is used across the Galaxy S25 series globally. The cited Exynos example is the Galaxy S25 FE in Tom’s Guide’s comparison; the scores in that article apply to its tested models, not necessarily every regional configuration or software version.
