Campaign Four episode and podcast details
The Campaign Four overview says Beacon members receive VOD and the full podcast at release time. It describes the ad-supported podcast as arriving in two delayed parts. For the current episode’s exact release dates and links, use the latest schedule rather than assuming the dates from an older post still apply.
#1 Best Overall
- First major D&D adventure book within Critical Role’s world of Exandria, taking players from levels 3–12
- Multi-continental story that spans the scarred Wastes of Xhorhas, introduces the continent of Marquet, and eventually plunges players into the Netherdeep—a terrifying cross between the Far Realm and the deep ocean
- Bursting with lore and all new art depicting Exandria
- Includes a poster map of Ank’Harel
- Adds magic items, creatures, and introduces rival NPCs
Finding older campaign episodes
Critical Role’s FAQ says all of Campaign One and Campaign Two episodes 1–19 are available on Geek & Sundry channels; newer episodes are on Critical Role channels. Start with the official campaign pages and playlists to locate the episode you want. For audio, the official overview places Campaign One and Campaign Two episodes 1–19 on the Nerdist Industries podcast feed, while Campaign Two episodes 20 through the finale are on the Critical Role Podcast Network. It also lists that network for Campaign Three and Exandria Unlimited. Because older pages can point to feeds whose platform names or availability have changed, follow the currently linked official feeds. See the FAQ and What is Critical Role?.
Where to find official campaign recaps
Use the Campaign Four hub for episode links and dated recaps
Open the Campaign Four page and scroll to “Critical Recaps & More.” It indexes recaps by title, date, campaign and episode, and author, and links to the “Previously On…” companion, which combines recap and reflection. As of October 4, 2026, the latest listed entry was the Campaign Four Episode 36 recap, dated September 30, 2026 and credited to Jared Deiro; the index may have changed since then.

Choose a catch-up format that fits your time
- Written episode recaps: Lore Keeper Dani Carr writes weekly summaries for Critical Role and Exandria Unlimited episodes. Find them through the official catch-up guide and campaign pages.
- 60-second video summaries: Dani Carr also creates short weekly video summaries for social platforms, useful when you need the essentials quickly.
- Crit Recap Animated: A Campaign Two-specific option: short, 5–10-minute videos summarizing story arcs, narrated by Dani Carr. The guide credits writing to Dani Carr, Marisha Ray, and Kyle Shire, with animation by Offworld Studios.
- Critical Role Abridged: Condensed episodes described as roughly 60–90 minutes, with new artwork. The format began with Campaign Three/Bells Hells, and the September 2026 schedule still listed Campaign Three Abridged episodes. Do not assume it covers every campaign.
Which viewing or recap option should you choose?
- For the newest episode live: Use Twitch or YouTube, or Beacon if you want its membership access.
- For free video catch-up: Use the official YouTube VOD and confirm its release date in the weekly schedule.
- For earlier access or Beacon exclusives: Critical Role describes Beacon as offering ad-free content and early access; its Campaign Four information identifies Critical Role Cooldown as Beacon-exclusive. Compare those benefits with the free release delay and check current membership terms on Critical Role’s Beacon page.
- For a quick story refresher: Choose a written recap or 60-second summary. Campaign Two viewers can also try Crit Recap Animated.
- For an adaptation rather than the actual-play show: The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated adaptation based on Campaign One. It is a separate way to revisit that story, not an episode stream or recap feed; the catch-up guide links to it.
Before choosing, consider whether you need live access or on-demand viewing, video or audio, a short refresher or a condensed episode, and which campaign the format actually covers.
