Watch AHL games online through AHLTV on FloHockey, the streaming destination named in the league’s official FAQ. But a specific game may be unavailable in some locations because of geographic rights restrictions. Before subscribing or making plans, open the game’s listing from the place where you intend to watch and check its availability notice.
Where can you watch AHL games online?
The AHL’s official FAQ directs viewers to AHLTV on FloHockey. AHLTV moved to FloHockey beginning with the 2024–25 season. In its September 12, 2024 partnership announcement, the league said the service would offer regular-season and Calder Cup Playoff games for all 32 teams.
That broad coverage description does not guarantee that every individual stream is available in every location. FloHockey says contractual geographic restrictions can affect some events. Treat the event listing—not a general assumption about your local team—as the check for a particular game.

How to check whether a game is available where you are
- Open the AHL schedule or the game’s event listing on FloHockey. The AHL FAQ links viewers to AHLTV on FloHockey for online games.
- Check the listing from the location where you plan to watch. FloHockey says an unavailable stream or replay will be identified on the event page or schedule with a notice that it “is not available in your location.”
- If the page says the event is unavailable, use that notice as the practical answer for that event and location. If you believe the location result is an error, FloHockey advises checking whether VPN or proxy settings are enabled. This is troubleshooting for a possible location-detection problem, not a way to bypass rights restrictions.
- For questions about AHLTV access or a streaming problem, contact FloHockey support; the AHL FAQ directs customers there.
Are AHL games subject to local blackouts?
Some AHL streams or replays can be restricted by geographic rights agreements, but the official guidance cited here does not establish a blanket rule that all games involving a local club are blacked out. Nor does it provide a market-by-market blackout map or a general formula for determining which locations are affected.
That distinction matters if you are familiar with NHL blackout policies: do not assume those rules apply to AHLTV on FloHockey. Check the specific AHL game’s listing from your location instead. The league’s general description of AHLTV coverage and FloHockey’s event-specific geographic caveat can both be true.
Can you watch AHL games on TV?
Some games may have TV coverage in addition to streaming, but the outlet depends on the event. For example, the AHL’s June 12, 2026 announcement said the Calder Cup Finals would stream worldwide on AHLTV on FloHockey. It also listed Sportsnet coverage in Canada—Games 1 and 3–7 on Sportsnet 360 and Game 2 on Sportsnet One—and NHL Network coverage of Games 3–7 in the United States. Those details applied to that completed Finals series; they do not establish regular-season TV carriage. Check current AHL and team listings for other national or local broadcasts.

FloSports also announced on September 17, 2026 that a 24/7 FloHockey channel would be distributed through partner services in the United States and Canada, describing that channel distribution as “without regional blackouts.” That statement concerns the broader channel distribution; it does not mean those services carry every AHL game or that every AHL event is available on them. For an individual matchup, rely on its event listing and location notice.
What devices can you use?
The AHL’s 2024 partnership announcement listed desktop and laptop computers, tablets, mobile devices, the FloSports app, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast. FloHockey’s device-support information is the better place to confirm current compatibility, since supported devices and models can change. A compatible device does not alter geographic rights or make an otherwise unavailable game accessible.

Confirm the current subscription price, billing period, included content, and cancellation terms directly with FloHockey. Prices in the AHL’s 2024 partnership announcement are historical, not a reliable guide to what a subscription costs now. It is also sensible to confirm that the particular game is listed as available in your location before paying.
