Then continue through the original scores for III, IV, and V, or branch into arranged music if you want a different style. The key is to distinguish music from the games’ original soundtracks from later arrangements and concert performances: they offer different ways to hear the series.
Start with the original game soundtracks
For a first listen, begin with the earliest two mainline scores: Suikoden, then Suikoden II. That route follows the series’ release order without substituting later reinterpretations for the original game music. A specialist catalog lists the Suikoden original soundtrack as KICA-7696/7 and the Suikoden II original soundtrack as KICA-7931/4, alongside separate Suikoden II volumes (catalog listing).

To continue through the principal series, follow with Suikoden III, Suikoden IV, and Suikoden V. The same catalog lists original soundtracks for all three: KMCA-164/5, KOLA-102/3, and GFCA-41/4, respectively (catalog listing). It also lists releases for Suikogaiden, Suikoden Tierkreis, and Rhapsodia; those are related-game branches rather than mainline entries.
Choose an arrangement if you want a different sound
Arranged albums reinterpret material rather than simply presenting the original game scores. One notable option is Genso Suikoden II Music Collection ~Orrizonte~. The catalog also lists Celtic and Asian collections, piano and vocal collections, and music collections produced by Hiroyuki Namba or Kentaro Haneda (catalog listing). These categories offer different ways into the music; the catalog does not establish a definitive quality ranking, so choose by the sound you are in the mood to hear.

Konami says the Suikoden I&II remaster soundtrack includes remastered arrangements from Orrizonte and the Arrange Collection series. It may suit listeners who want some arrangement material packaged with music for the remaster, but check the regional product listing and edition details before buying (Konami announcement).
Choose the orchestral release for a concert experience
Symphonic Poem from Suikoden is a concert recording, not another conventional game soundtrack. Konami describes it as a full-orchestra concert held in October 2022; the Blu-ray includes a Suikoden II Animation Music Video (Konami announcement; KONAMI animation announcement). The announced special set also includes a desk calendar and tote bag. Konami described it with a March 6, 2025 release date; current availability has not been verified.

What to know about the I&II remaster soundtrack
Konami’s Japanese corporate announcement named the release 幻想水滸伝 I&II 門の紋章戦争 / デュナン統一戦争 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK and scheduled it for March 6, 2025. It describes a nine-CD box priced at ¥9,900 including tax, with a bonus CD called 幻想水滸伝 I&II オルゴールコレクション. At announcement time, Konami pointed buyers to Konami Style, its official Japanese reservation channel (Konami announcement).
There is a discrepancy between Konami’s official descriptions: its Japanese announcement specifies nine CDs, while its English Suikoden portal labels the remaster OST a “7 CD SET” (Japanese announcement; English portal). The available information does not establish whether these refer to different regional editions or whether one listing is an error. Verify the exact edition and disc count in the listing you are considering rather than assuming the descriptions are interchangeable.

Konami says the remaster soundtrack’s Suikoden II section includes “戦争2” and “光のない戦場,” which were not on the older soundtrack CDs, as well as the remastered arrangements mentioned above (Konami announcement). That makes the release relevant both to listeners following the remaster music and to those interested in material not included on the older CDs.

- Want the games’ original music? Follow the mainline scores in order: Suikoden, II, III, IV, and V.
- Want a reinterpretation? Try Orrizonte or choose among the Celtic, Asian, piano, and vocal collections.
- Want orchestra and video? Look for Symphonic Poem from Suikoden, keeping in mind that it is a concert Blu-ray release.
- Want a physical I&II collection? Compare the regional listing carefully because official Konami pages give different disc counts.
Streaming availability, track-by-track coverage, current retail inventory, international shipping, and present-day prices have not been established here. For older CDs and arrangement albums, check the specific item, edition, and condition before purchasing; a catalog listing does not confirm current stock.
