There is no single port for every Logitech speaker. The connection depends on the model: some use a 3.5 mm audio cable, some use USB, some pair over Bluetooth, and a few surround systems use digital or multichannel analog inputs. Identify your model first, then match its connection to an audio output or USB port on the PC.
Step 1: Find your model and its connection types
The model name or number is usually printed on the speaker or subwoofer. Once you have it, check which connection families that model supports. The examples below come from Logitech’s own setup guides and product pages, so treat them as a starting map rather than a complete catalog.
| Model | Connections documented by Logitech | Separate power needed? | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z130 | 3.5 mm auxiliary lead | Yes, AC adapter plus DC plug to the right speaker | Z130 Stereo Speakers Quick Start Guide (copyright 2019) |
| G560 | USB, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm AUX | Powered; the subwoofer connects to the PC over USB or to the source over AUX | Logitech Support, “Connect the G560 gaming speakers to your devices” |
| Z407 | Bluetooth, USB, 3.5 mm AUX | Powered; check the setup page for your unit | Logitech Support, “Connecting the Z407 speakers to a device” |
| Z906 | Digital optical or coaxial, and analog computer connections | Powered | Logitech Support, “Connecting a computer to the Z906” |
| S150 | USB-A (carries both audio and power) | No separate adapter; USB supplies power | Logitech product page, “Logitech S150 USB Stereo Speakers for Desktop or Laptop” |
Step 2: Connect the speakers
3.5 mm AUX (wired audio)
This is the most common wired route for older or simpler systems. The speaker’s audio lead is a 3.5 mm plug, and it goes into the PC’s 3.5 mm audio output. Look for a port labeled line out, speaker out, or headphone. The exact location and color vary between PCs, so use the port your computer’s manual identifies as an audio output. Avoid the microphone input.

Turn the speaker on after the power and audio connections are made.
#1 Best Overall

- On-speaker headphone jack Plus convenient controls for easy access to Bluetooth wireless pairing, power and Volume adjustments, Bluetooth version: 4.2

For the G560, use a male-to-male 3.5 mm cable between the subwoofer and the device when using AUX. For the Z407, Logitech says the AUX cable is a 3-pole male-to-male 3.5 mm cable and that it is not included in every package, so confirm before you buy one.
USB
USB models connect to a USB port on the PC. The S150 plugs into a USB-A port and gets both audio and power from that single connection, so no wall adapter is needed. The G560 connects its subwoofer to the PC over USB. For the Z407, Logitech notes that the USB cable is not supplied, so you must provide one that matches the speaker’s end. Check the cable type on your model before assuming a cable is in the box.

Do not assume every USB cable on a Logitech speaker carries audio. Confirm the model’s setup guide says the USB connection is for audio.

Bluetooth models must be paired before they can play sound. Put the speaker into pairing mode first; the method depends on the model, so use the speaker’s guide to find its button or sequence. Then open Windows Settings, go to Bluetooth & devices, select Add device, and choose the speaker from the list. The PC needs Bluetooth hardware. Microsoft’s guide to pairing Bluetooth devices in Windows says that a USB Bluetooth adapter can add Bluetooth to a Windows PC that does not have it. Only consider an adapter if your speaker supports Bluetooth and your PC does not.

Optical, coaxial, and multichannel analog (surround systems)
Surround systems such as the Z906 use digital optical or coaxial inputs, or several analog connections for multichannel sound. The correct connection depends on what the PC’s sound card can output and which input you select on the Z906. Logitech’s support page warns that not all computer sound cards support surround sound. If your PC has no digital output and no multichannel analog output, you may only get stereo sound from the speaker through a standard analog connection, so check your sound card or motherboard documentation first.
Step 3: Set the input and the Windows output
A correct cable does nothing if the speaker and Windows are looking at different inputs. Set both sides:

- Rich stereo sound: Two 2-"drivers deliver 6 watts of peak power for clear, loud stereo sound
- Connect two devices at the same time: Simultaneously connect your smartphone plus tablet or laptop via a 3; 5mm audio input plus auxiliary line
- Convenient controls: Front panel volume and power are combined into one easy-access control knob
- Handy headphone jack: Listen to music, movies and games in total privacy
- Durable, compact design: Built to last with high-quality acoustics, tested and tuned at Logitech's state-of-the art audio labs
- On the speaker or its remote, select the input that matches your cable (for example, AUX, USB, Bluetooth, or optical). On the Z407, Logitech says the wired connection may require selecting the corresponding wired input.
- In Windows 11, open Settings > System > Sound. Under Output, choose the speaker or sound device you connected. In Windows 10, right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, choose Open Sound settings, and select the same device under Output.
- For the G560, Logitech specifically flags that you may need to select the G560 (or the PC sound card, depending on how you connected it) as the default output. Set it there and play a test sound.
Troubleshooting: connected, but no sound
- Power: Confirm the AC adapter is connected on powered models and that the speakers are switched on.
- Input: Make sure the speaker is set to the input you actually used.
- Playback device: Check that Windows is playing to the speaker, not to a monitor, headset, or other output.
- Port: Confirm the AUX cable is in an audio output rather than a microphone input, and the USB cable is in a working port.
- Bluetooth: Remove the speaker from the list and pair it again if audio stops after a restart.
- Volume: Check the speaker’s own volume control as well as the Windows volume slider.
If none of these steps help, the problem is often the cable, the port, or the speaker’s own input selection. Try the speaker with a different device to confirm whether the speaker itself is working.

If the PC has no audio output that fits your speaker, the right fix depends on the specific computer, sound card, and speaker model. Logitech’s material for these models does not provide a universal adapter recommendation. For Bluetooth-capable speakers, a USB Bluetooth adapter is the documented route for a Windows PC without Bluetooth. For other connections, check the PC’s manual for available outputs before buying any converter.

Check your model’s guide before you buy parts
Logitech updates its support pages, and the Z130 guide is dated 2019. Before you buy a cable or adapter, open the current support page for your exact model and confirm the connection and cable requirements. Because connection rules differ across models, an answer that works for one Logitech speaker may not work for another.
