For a US Echo Show 8, $124.99 is a useful recent sale benchmark—not a proven all-time low. TechRadar reported that price both for June 2026 Prime Day and in its October 2026 early-sale snapshot. If you need one now, compare the exact model’s checkout price with its Amazon price history; if you want to pay less, set a target and wait, but there is no evidence that the next sale will beat $124.99.
When should you buy an Echo Show?
Prime Day and Black Friday are recurring periods to watch for Amazon-device deals, but neither guarantees a new low on every Echo Show. The June and October 2026 prices show why it is better to judge a specific model in your country than to assume an event-wide discount is exceptional.
Amazon announced Prime Big Deal Days for October 6–7, 2026. That gives shoppers a dated opportunity to compare offers, not a reason to assume an Echo Show will be cheaper then. Amazon’s announcement also says shoppers can set target prices and alerts, and that Alexa can automatically purchase an item if it reaches a set target. Check the terms for your market and the specific event before relying on an offer; Amazon’s June 2026 Prime Day guidance says that event was exclusive to Prime members.

For the Show 8, the US snapshot is unchanged from June at $124.99; the UK snapshot is £5 higher than June at £119.99. Those are recent comparison points, not forecasts or established all-time lows. If you are willing to wait for a lower price, set a personal target below the relevant recent benchmark rather than assuming a particular event will deliver it.
How to check whether a deal is actually good
Use Amazon’s price history
On eligible Amazon product detail pages, open the “Price history” link to view the product’s recent pricing. Amazon’s May 2026 explanation says the feature displays 30-, 90- and 365-day history; at that time, it was available to customers in the US, UK, Canada and India, with 365-day insights rolling out in the US, UK and India. Availability and the history shown can vary, so check the product page. Amazon also describes asking Alexa about an item’s recent sale history—for example, “Was it cheaper last Black Friday?”

Amazon said in 2026 that more than 50 million customers had used the feature since it launched in 2024. That is an Amazon-reported usage figure, not an independent assessment of how much shoppers save.
Look at the amount due, not the discount percentage
TechRadar reports that the US Show 11 cost $149.99 in both June and October 2026, while its listed original price increased from $219.99 to $249.99. As a result, the displayed discount changed from 32% to 40% without a lower deal price. Compare the actual offer with the price history, not just the advertised percentage or reference price.

Which Echo Show should you buy?
Echo Shows combine a screen with smart-speaker functions and can serve as smart-home control hubs. TechRadar’s comparison describes the Show 5 as the compact, lower-cost choice, with a non-HD screen, one basic speaker and a 2MP camera. The larger models differ in screen size and capabilities; the Show 15 and Show 21 include Fire TV.

- Screen size and resolution: Choose for the viewing distance and available counter or wall space; the Show 5’s screen is non-HD.
- Sound and camera: Consider speaker capability and camera specifications if you will use it for video calls or listening to music.

- Fire TV: The Show 15 and Show 21 include it, which may matter if you want video entertainment on the display.
