The Switch 2 Edition is the game, with improved performance, enhanced resolution, and smoother frame rates, according to Nintendo’s US product listing. These are edition-specific improvements, not Mega Dimension content.

Mega Dimension: story and apparel
Nintendo describes a story in which distortions appear around Lumiose City and lead to Hyperspace Lumiose. Hoopa can turn the distortions into portals; the player teams up with baker Ansha to gather Berries and make donuts that grant useful effects. Korrina and Team MZ later join the investigation. Does Mega Dimension include the full game?
No. Mega Dimension is an add-on, not a standalone game: you need a copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A to use it. Nintendo says it is compatible with both the Nintendo Switch version and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The DLC story becomes available after completing the main story. Nintendo’s US bundle listing gives August 4, 2026 as its release date, while a separate Nintendo US product listing for “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension” gives October 29, 2026.
